From family reunions with unexpected drinking partners to color-themed parties complete with jello shots, these tales capture the essence of joyful camaraderie. Revel in the creative flair of party planning, as we describe vibrant designs that turn spaces into festive wonderlands. This is a tribute to those who master the craft of bringing people together, crafting memories that linger long after the music fades.

Start off with 2025,. Man, we just sharing nostalgic moments, freedom speakers, reminiscing from our childhood, things that we've gained and lost, and sitting in the lounge today, man, just makes me thankful for how far my style has come with the lounge. You might have seen on IG me posting pictures and different things of me just hanging out in here. If you don't follow me on IG, follow me at permission to number two underscore out in here. If you don't follow me on IG, follow me at permission2 underscore speakfreelypodcast and you can follow my other page. It's Ben Boston. That's B-N-B-O-S-S-N on IG, but a lot of my art is there and you get to see some of me promote the podcast. You get to see the lounge and it made me just reminisce the progression of my man caves have you ever posted the transformation?
Speaker 2:you're going to have to post a transformation of what it looked like when you was out here in the trenches to what it look like now in the deluxe parking in the sky and I definitely got a video of you doing ballet dance out there.
Speaker 3:It was bad.
Speaker 1:Do you know when? In the movie New Jack City, when they went in there and found Pookie it felt like that out there.
Speaker 3:It felt like that.
Speaker 1:You had concrete walls, literally it looked like I was a squatter, literally, cause all I had was first. All I had was those three benches, those three like stools. I had, I think, an ottoman, one of the old ottomans. We got from Big Lots as well too. Fuck that up. Rip Big Lots.
Speaker 3:I was about to say shout out to Big.
Speaker 2:Lots.
Speaker 1:I was about to say y'all stuff the stage but rental properties. But I wouldn't suggest a person have it long term. But all I had was those three stools I had like an ottoman. Then I had a space heater and I'm out here smoking. So I just look fiend out Because in the wintertime it's just cold. In the summertime you open the garage door, you just look abandoned. It's like, oh, this guy just looks like smoke.
Speaker 3:I swear I got a video of you twirling this and that summer worker, uh song, I remember that I remember that I don't want to do this.
Speaker 1:Hey, that's when I lived in the basement on 71st I had the man cave down in the basement on 71st, down in the basement on 71st and I had the couch and lunch down there, it was definitely a setup. I had the end tables.
Speaker 1:It was definitely a setup I had the TV stand with the TV, had a bathroom down there. I had a deep freezer, so I had a cheese and a hot plate in the basement. I had a hot plate in the basement. I just heat up beans and beans and it literally had a cheese and a hot plate in the basement. I had a hot plate in the basement, I just heat up beans.
Speaker 3:And it literally had a door on the room.
Speaker 1:Yep. So the bedroom was like had a wall set up that you can fit only like a twin size bed in there, with a nightstand in standing, like a little bit it was. It was just enough, like it was probably like a prison cell. It was all you needed. But that was my. That was the man came All my boys and my homies, they had come through and we'd kick it. You had you had you had to bless the house, cause that was Ms Kim. Big Kim was what they called her.
Speaker 1:You had to bless the house. She wasn't about to let you come in there, not greet her, not coming in with a bottle you can't come empty-handed, period, that's the vague way to say.
Speaker 1:It can't come empty-handed. So even that was said for my friends, all my siblings, friends, everybody. You had to come in there and greet the original Queen, big Kim. But that was the setup man, we would kick you down there. But once I moved out and I had got my own spot, now that's the whole med cave. It just got larger. Now I have my apartment, man, that's where you know.
Speaker 3:Man, when I got just got larger. Now you know, I had my apartment, man, that's where.
Speaker 1:You know, man, when I got in trouble, got a whooping. It was like, see, that's where you got to hang on.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it was a good escape. And went down the stairs and was gone.
Speaker 1:Oh you talking about the time where mommy whooped the tree.
Speaker 3:Oh the time where?
Speaker 1:Because I left the it at that time. So you was like take me with you.
Speaker 2:I remember that we, like we out of here, I kept apologizing, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:every time you meet my mom, it's at the hospital.
Speaker 2:That was the second time I seen your mom. The second time was at Christmas, when we were treating.
Speaker 1:I'm like you can take all the motherfucking gifts out of there for me too.
Speaker 3:I'm like my mama gave us. I was working hard with my little chick.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but that nostalgic moment. I remember that man. My man Kay became my apartment. I remember that man. But we my man cave became my apartment and I loved having that little space on my own. So now, when I got together in a serious relationship, I got to understand why men would have that man cave. You could have a house. I just want this little area. I just want a little corner, my little room, a little spot, a little basement. I don't need much, we don't need much. You can have a house. I just want this little area. I just want a little corner, my little room, a little spot, a little basement. I don't need much. I don't need much you can. This is why I value having a partner who makes a house a home. Okay, freedom speakers, I'm going to go through my archives and find some pictures of how my man cave now in line 187, started out. It looked like a rehab that got botched. It looked like Pookie was in here smoking.
Speaker 1:It came a long way and I went from rehabbing some stuff and second-handing some stuff to putting it all the way together where it's livable and comfortable. You could pay me a fee to be in this money.
Speaker 3:Call me now. You can get a deal now for me, for me.
Speaker 1:But I made it very comfortable for myself, for my guests, for the family and friends that come and kick it. That's always been the vibe, but it ain't always been like this man. So, Queen, give me a memory that you might have of kicking it in Lounge 87. Or just something you remember about Lounge 87.
Speaker 3:It was definitely, I want to say, if it was Christmas or I think trap karaoke and we was literally running in and out of the house Back and forth, literally Taking shots of that purpose, that purpose that your sister was mixing up when I went to mix it. They ain't want no more we was mixing up when I went to mix it. They ain't want no more. We was you making it, you, you get some fake. Yeah, that's what.
Speaker 3:I'm saying, I guess I should have told them it was fake, cause they ain't want it from me they ain't want it from me.
Speaker 2:We said fake. We don't say find out it was fake. No, they ain't want it from me. They ain't want it from me. They ain't want it from me. We don't say find out, it was fake.
Speaker 1:No, we try to get real hot.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you tell somebody, yeah, this is something.
Speaker 2:But we was told down from that though.
Speaker 3:But we were drinking a little bit too.
Speaker 1:We was drinking smoking. I think some people would pop some edibles.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we was doing it all Like, come on, who don't love great stuff?
Speaker 1:Niggas howl food, but it was a good time.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we literally like that was really like my first time really running in and out, like how the kids be running around the house and stuff yeah running in and out garage, back in jumping on the mic like literally that's what we're doing the karaoke.
Speaker 2:Well, I just De'Aja with her country song hey keep it.
Speaker 1:Hey freedom speakers, I just I gotta plug me in. That party was produced by me. Okay, I produced that party. I felt like Diddy minus the baby boy.
Speaker 3:And the orgies.
Speaker 1:That's another. That's another.
Speaker 3:Onlyfans back day we had a ball like we was eating good, drinking good, you know, smoking better, running in and out doing songs like having a ball. So that was like one for sure. But another one, though, is when we was in here taking them shots with that pickle juice and that hot sauce.
Speaker 2:We was in.
Speaker 3:We drank a whole fifth of that Terra Mana, like it was the black bottle.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and with no hangover.
Speaker 3:I think it was like a nail or something. It was something and man, we was tearing it up with pickle juice and hot sauce.
Speaker 1:And it sounds like a unique combination, but it actually was my tea time.
Speaker 2:I'm telling you it was so smooth like you legit like could keep drinking it because it was like it was so smooth it was actually nice.
Speaker 3:It was extremely smooth. I learned that working at the bar. That's when my uncle was dumpy dumpy man At that time.
Speaker 1:Oh, that party uncle was sumpty dumpty at that time.
Speaker 2:Oh, that party.
Speaker 1:Was that y'all family reunion?
Speaker 3:I think that was around that time. Yup yup, we was all out here. I'm talking about from Shanita to Poobie to Jova. Yo mom, we was out here drinking taking shots back to back we and we had the bottles like that bottle was just freshly opened and we killed that whole bottle like we was drinking other bottles. It was nice, it allows 87. It was time.
Speaker 1:What about you, baby?
Speaker 2:She took my night Because I had just reposted it. It showed up in my memory and I had reposted it. My mama was in here kicking it. She was dancing it Go mama, go mama.
Speaker 1:I remember was she really was lit.
Speaker 3:she was lit before everybody but I think, if I'm not to say it was the same party when I was in that room, like a little like yeah, go tell my dad, he's just taking a nap, he's gonna sleep some of that off.
Speaker 1:Yeah, leave him alone, he's at a christmas party.
Speaker 2:Now, that was a cool party, though she uh shared your story she didn't share your perspective, tell us from your perspective no, so I'm gonna'm going to talk about a different time. I want to talk about the time that you got busted on your birthday, and this is when we named our chair set that Uncle Ed and Aunt Terry set Because you was so toned down on that birthday. You was toned down.
Speaker 1:I was I remember it.
Speaker 3:I remember being on the phone with you and I'm like this dude swaying.
Speaker 1:I was done using the bathroom I was man, I was talking my aunt terry shout out to my auntie terry I love you, beautiful. I was talking her ear off so much. And me and Mama Mo, that's my drinking partner for real. I vibe with her when we're drinking. Okay, she and I were back and forth taking shots. She's like, you took one, I'm going to take one too, but I was drinking Hornitos.
Speaker 1:I was drinking that tequila I was tearing that tequila up and I got so messed up man I kept asking for shots. I'm like give me another shot. I just see Bree and Nessa over there talking and I'm like they both got this disgusted-ass. Look at me like a drunk ass shit.
Speaker 2:Leave my auntie the fuck out.
Speaker 1:Because I don't think of where it made it. I don't think Biggie had made it. I think that's when we were supposed to go to Belize.
Speaker 2:You know what I'm saying? No, he did because they were sitting over at the pond together.
Speaker 1:Right, my alcohol made me hilarious. Yeah, you was told out did because they were sitting over at the pond together. You right, mom, I was doing my alcohol made me hilarious you was told.
Speaker 2:Now you just kept asking for shots on my back, don't ask for another fucking shot.
Speaker 1:But I remember we did. The next day I sobered up Because after my last shot I heard as loud as I'm speaking. I'm like go to bed.
Speaker 3:I'm telling you when I was talking to you, you were swaying, you was using the bathroom, like you just see the sway, like yeah, yeah, you talking to people, but it's like I'm like, I'm done, man, this party lit. I was mad at work at the stadium.
Speaker 2:I remember that I was at the bar.
Speaker 3:And Kim was supposed to be at the bar too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, man, I think she almost got fired.
Speaker 3:She wasn't supposed to party.
Speaker 2:She was trying to all off. So another time it was your another birthday, one where we had the color party.
Speaker 3:And remember we had all those drinks, that was nice, that was fun, man them fine oil jello shots.
Speaker 1:The jello shot.
Speaker 3:That Von and Mika made.
Speaker 1:Is they real? Mika's a real alcoholic. Those were nice, and Von Von will drink. He'll smoke, he's right, he'll smoke, he's right.
Speaker 3:Now he dabble.
Speaker 1:You know what I'm saying. He dabble with the cigars, okay okay, okay.
Speaker 3:My niggas feel real distinguished now yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying Drinking cigars. I can see him with a cigar Drinking cigars, drinking whiskey. Man them was nice for the party.
Speaker 1:But that was nice. Mika made them on the head. She had me handed them the liquor.
Speaker 3:But that was a nice party.
Speaker 1:But you're right, nice party. Right, we had the color party, freedom speakers, freedom speakers. Those parties were produced by vanessa.
Speaker 1:Okay, that's queen maddie she when it comes to this creative thing you're setting up, partying and planning. That's like a another niche man, all of the things that you see that we have and colors and designs Me posting on my IG. Go look at me on my social media Again, on IG permission too Underscore, speak Freely podcast. You'll see a picture I posted up of our kitchen An area over there that looked like a barista was served. This shows to me what makes a house a home. If you've been listening to this, I just told you my man cave looked like it was a botched job on a rehab. If I had to live in this big house by myself, it wouldn't be nothing in here but a TV, a couch, some Reese's cut papers and wifi and my dogs and my pets.
Speaker 1:Nothing in here but a TV a couch, some Reese's Cup papers Should it just be that? And Wi-Fi, and my dogs and my pets. You know what I'm saying. But I love the creativity and the style and character that she brings to a home. That's what I call making a house a home. It wouldn't be shit in this place if I hadn't designed it. She brings that touch and I love that. And she not only brings it to the home but to these parties and events that we. That brings us, to these memories and great nostalgic moments, man. So, hey, if you looking for any party plan, to dm me.
Speaker 1:We want all the money I'll carry all the heavy stuff and she do all the planning and I'll pay for the stuff. That's normally how I go. She plan I'll pay market buzz what do we do? If I could tell you about a party that we had here, like the back end of a party that we had here, like the back end of the party that we had for your, was that your 35th. The Trap, that's the 36th the 36th You'll be older this year.
Speaker 1:So that was the Trap karaoke Two years ago and that's my last party I threw I gotta come out and retire. You can come out.
Speaker 2:From my 40, you got two years to play.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, you gotta make slam Hard, I'm gonna have a heated pool.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna have a whole but.
Speaker 1:The back story of that I, of what makes that party so special to me, is one of the first big events that I actually thrown for you. The one prior I threw for you was the.
Speaker 2:Chipotle party.
Speaker 1:Chipotle was her thing had it served catered, but it was just. I was pregnant then she could eat fried wings. I would have had KFC cut.
Speaker 2:I know she had a little baby like wings I would have had Red Wafers Kim's. Open Pit. Somebody had some wings.
Speaker 3:I would have never told any of them. I would have been like you, like that barbecue place up there?
Speaker 1:It's out for the.
Speaker 3:TV. I can't do. I always wanted to taste their sauce.
Speaker 1:It got me good, I always wanted to taste their sauce.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he stuck shit on it it got me good but.
Speaker 1:I cleaned up the house From top to bottom that day, and I wanted to make sure we had it Outside too, so I'm pressure washing the patio. You was out there helping me Clean the pond.
Speaker 2:Get the leaves up.
Speaker 1:You was out there helping me clean the pond, get the leaves up.
Speaker 2:This was in January.
Speaker 1:For what?
Speaker 2:You talking about the trap karaoke?
Speaker 1:No, it was another party I had, that we had.
Speaker 2:That was for your birthday.
Speaker 3:Must have been the colorful one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was the colorful one Because I'm like my birthday in January.
Speaker 1:For your birthday no, I produced that one, but just giving the backstory of my two favorite times this is the one I threw for you was the best one, but my favorite one was my birthday, because that was the first theme party. That was a big party. Everybody came dressed up the whole. That's that's my favorite one. But I was cleaning the house. I'm outside pressure washing uh the deck this. When I start, I think I did the video. I'm out there recording me cleaning up and everything. Go look on my uh YouTube Me pressure washing my patio. But I got to see I got to sit back here and kick it while I'm getting drunk with my auntie. I'm like man. I really did clean this motherfucker up, and it made me care about the backyard just a little bit more, made me say I need to save my money, get the food set up, get that right. We're supposed to have a pool party. We're going to have that in 2025, though I got my dollars right to do it now.
Speaker 3:Get the pro white boys out here and hook my stuff up.
Speaker 1:But that was my favorite. One of people came through. We got a chance to see how large the house really is. Kids got their own side of the home. They can go in and out of KJ's room to the backyard doing their own thing. We still got the whole patio set for us over for the adults. Even just with that, we got our own side of the patio over by just or Vanessa and I room. But I never realized how large and how like you have a large home for family, for events, everybody not crammed on top of each other. Everybody get to be somewhere.
Speaker 1:Some people get to be out in the lounge at the 7. Some people like to kick it in the kitchen. Some of the people who only got one or two get-ups in them and they need they hang out in the living room on the next couch. You know what I'm saying? The kids Get on up. Kd got his own wing.
Speaker 3:Py kids. Taylor got his own wing, tyrell got his own wing, we got our own.
Speaker 1:We got the backyard so it's getting to see the house be full of fun and laughter and everybody kicking it. Everybody got their part and section. Drinkers in the kitchen, smokers in the lounge that makes me feel full. And when we had the trap karaoke your birthday, that's when really was like, hey, nigga can turn this bitch into an after hour Yup Music loud as shit. Nick Hay, neighbors ain't hearing they over here kicking it. Hey, Mr Ken.
Speaker 2:What's going?
Speaker 1:on Mr Ken. Is this where fun is? Mr Ken said the fun's up here.
Speaker 3:When I say that was that Mr Kent said the fun's up here. When I say that was, that was like some of the best parties, I know for sure. But we had a good Christmas one though, too.
Speaker 1:Now, which one man, vanessa always throw a good one.
Speaker 3:Yeah, she do, but the one where Miss Shea was here. Oh, we invited our clients and stuff too. No, this one was kind of like.
Speaker 1:Was this the one where I was Santa and I got tied up?
Speaker 3:No, no, no, no. This was the one where I'm trying to think, because it was like I was Santa and I got tied up. No, no, no, no. This was the one where, like, I'm trying to think, because it was like we was playing the games where you had, like the tree and we would put our hand in it and get it.
Speaker 2:We had all the gifts and stuff and B had came to that one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, what year was that? 2022?, 2021? I?
Speaker 3:don't know, I can look at my phone and wish, but that one was a nice party too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I remember that Christmas party. Yeah, Now that you mentioned it, that was a.
Speaker 1:Your sister was there too. We are the couple that likes to entertain. We are the couple that likes to throw the parties, likes to host. You know very good, you know part of our service. I think that shows in our personality Mi casa es su casa Our shit, your shit. So that means you fuck our shit up. Ah, fuck you. You're respectful, but you know, we, we enjoy to have that man. I feel like that's the the reason to have a large home. Have a family helps and stuff like that. So when we have those events, it make it all it. It made me want a bigger house. Yeah, maybe one of me like man. We need to host more parties. We need to do more things. We need to just hey, nigga, invite nigga.
Speaker 3:I mean it straight make you be like what you doing tomorrow.
Speaker 1:Yeah, what y'all doing tomorrow? We out on the patio cooking in the back.
Speaker 2:Grilling some meat, I get it, I get it. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:But they just enjoying the company man, the good surrounding, good scenery, all of that man. So Johnson's Oasis is what we call the home, most definitely the backyard of Johnson's Oasis. That's my little island. If you ever see me on social media, that's my little island. That's my first slice of sanctuary, my first AI. That's a part of Lounge 87, but that's the backyard. The front yard is the patio. That's our front. Then we got the backyard but that's the deck, back deck. But I will go outside and be on the back patio thinking, meditating, looking at the sky, just like looking at that scenery. I got like almost a half court basketball court back door, or at least a three point line, a little more basketball court. I just shoot around, pretend I still got it, like Mike, make me like Mike.
Speaker 1:But just being outside and just like I could put three little container homes back here. I could rip this shit out, but just I love being outside.
Speaker 3:I said I used to see on the freeway the ones you pick up.
Speaker 1:Container homes Are they what those are called? Yeah, they got like container homes.
Speaker 3:No, they look like little mini homes. Are they tiny houses Basically?
Speaker 1:I'm a huge HGTV fan. They're like tiny houses now.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they're so funny to me.
Speaker 1:I think they fly. If we were a more outdoorsy family, I feel like we could live in one of those. I feel like, yeah, we can go home, come back and live in there mom got our spot, cairo got his cage, he got his and we really just sleep in there, cook, but we go on every day. I could do a tiny home, especially if we was outdoors, like we outdoors. Outdoors, you ain't at home. You fishing, you hunting, you hiking, riding bikes, you out with your friends shooting guns, you just outdoorsy. Yeah, yeah, you come home and go to bed. Let's go. Come home, go to bed, yeah, but camping in those lately, yeah, I, that's. That's a real big mental thing for me, being able to have that. That's freedom.
Speaker 1:Speakers, if you have not camped into like a cabin or tiny home or container home, something a little different than where you normally would, if you lived in a house or an apartment or things like that, you would love, love, love going to different places in Hocking Hills, which we prefer, those campgrounds down there. They have container homes, they have tiny homes, they got lodges, they got cabins, they got resorts, they got places you can park your RV, which is the next. I want to rent an RV and just go to a few camping grounds, go out there, hunt, shoot fish, politic with the people, campfire, kumbaya, bear shit in the woods type thing. I want to be the bear shit, I want that. But different things from just the norm of living in your house or coming home back and forth every day. But that stuff helps me reset. You know what I'm saying but, freedom speakers.
Speaker 1:if you have not experienced it, I suggest you experience it, which takes me to another time that we all were together and it was a really good time. It was when we had Christmas in the cabins of Hockey Heroes First destination Christmas, first destination Christmas. That one touched me a lot too. We tried to make it. I don't know if people really caught the theme. I didn't press a theme, but mentally to me the theme was Home Alone. So how everybody loaded up in the van and went to the airport and they're about to go on the trip, but it's kind of the feel I wanted to give like, hey, I used the company van, do everybody in there? We driving all the way down there, which was unsafe.
Speaker 3:We had to turn around on that road.
Speaker 2:We packed.
Speaker 3:Hell yeah.
Speaker 2:Packed that motherfucker.
Speaker 1:People, it was like 11 to 12 people. And then we had because it was a 15 passenger, but we took the rear seat out so that, no, the rear seat stayed in, but we packed bags and luggage and stuff all back there.
