Thee Highest Chief Ali:

We back, we on, really, yeah, yeah, yeah, man, back at it. Man, I missed you, bro, I missed you bro, I missed you, I missed this. It's been a long time. It's been a good way I want to say six, but I feel like it's been more. Man, six months, half a year, it's been about a year For us, for us, for us, for us, for us, it's been about a year. Nah, it's been about a year.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Freedom Speakers, we gonna need y'all to take some notes or some tallies or something it's been about. When was the last time that Chief Ali and Laylo the most got together for an episode? You know what comment? Let us know something, man, john B. Hey, freedom Speakers, we ain't forgot about y'all man, and I speak for both of us when I say we sorry From the heart. We sorry because we love y'all man, and we know we got a lot of support from people out there.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Folks been asking us hey, what's going on with the pod? How's it going? What's happening? Hey, man, you know life been, life been, lifin' Lifestar, lif, life and work get in the way. You know what I mean the things that we want to do, and sometimes you don't get to do what you want to do. You know what I mean, and I never want to put permission to speak freely on the back burner, for sure, for sure, for sure. Like I'm excited, man you probably can't tell because I've got other shit going on but I'm excited, man, to get this, you know. Get this therapy off, man, get this.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Uh, you know, because that's what it is at the end of the day, that's what we talk about, man, is it's therapeutic, not just for us but for the people who listen to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, it's, um, it's heavy to be able to, to vent. Yeah, you know, I'm saying, a lot of times you, sometimes people use, they will say, a lot of times people use, use their platforms to be negative to one another, for sure, to try to be discriminatory to one another and be, you know, just ill if you will. And we can do that too, you know sometimes, you know, sometimes it come down to it, you know, because we speak freely here. Yeah, sometimes it's the tough love, tough, tough, tough, tough love, and sometimes that lesson does most definitely have to be brutal, but in most cases, man, it's really just, you know, been with some of the ones that you do got to break, but we try not to bash. But we look most definitely true, to be real, not cutting no corners. Being very unapologetic in our truth don't mean you gotta just like smear the shit, right, but you gotta sure you gotta deliver it. That's a fact, man.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Sometimes, you know, sometimes it just got to come out the way it come out, man, but how you, how you been bro, how you been, since it's almost been a year, which is crazy to me. Time fly, yeah. Well, I'll say this man, answer one question at a time. Man, I've been, uh, I've been blessed to be alive, I've been doing well, um, so I'm thankful for that. God has most definitely motherfucking, covered me, bro, like God continuously to show so. So, move shit for me, man. So I'm very thankful for that. Most definitely, man, thank you for asking that. Um.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

At the same time, man, uh, over the last, just say, year, um, over the last 90 days, for the last quarter, I'll say, I mean, a lot has been revealing. Uh, been asking god most definitely like, show me things that are just solely for me. Um, give me the strength to uh, carry on and move on with certain things and put myself and my family in a really good position, man. But I know dominating like that doesn't come without battles, man. You kind of make some enemies sometimes when you just kind of boss hogging for a second. You know that happens, man, and I feel like that kind of came my way. But I've been preparing, conditioning for what, just been getting myself ready Like, okay, some moves I gotta make. That uh transpires across my entire life, man, not just who I am at work or I'm at home or just in the world, but it's it's just like with everything, man. So the last 90 days been very revealing, but I feel like the our last episode kind of was one of them. Like it wasn't a farewell in there but you could tell like, hey, man, is this, this is about to get real. Man.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

I was watching movies with uh, with kj and nessa in the house, and one of the movies we was watching was, uh, bad boy. So we watched bad boys four first. We watched Bad Boys 4 first. We watched Bad Boys 4 first, and KJ was like he wasn't familiar with like the Bad Boys saga, yeah, like saga at this point.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So some of the things that they that Freedom Speakers, if you a fan of Bad Boys, will Smith, martin Lawrence shout out to them. Shout out to fan of Bad Boys Will Smith. Martin Lawrence shout out to them. Shout out to the whole Bad Boys franchise. If you know, there's certain things inside of each of the movies that they have. It's like the cinematic thing that's their symbol. Yeah, such as that turnaround kind of little look and they be looking exhausted as fuck With the Miami in the background. Yeah, so that they got the fast cars kind of thing that you know Mike Lowry, known for driving fast. And then they got the my man's with the Skittles.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So seeing in Bad Boys 4, will Smith get on Martin about the Skittles when he was at the gas station that made me take it back to the first one with KJ. And they like I blow you. Then I blow you. Like how can he put on? Blow me what? Like I kill before I kill again. Yeah, man. So it took him back to there and was like you freeze bitch, no, you freeze bitch, he's like shit. Like back up, put the gun down, give me a pack of tropical fruit, bubble-icious and some Skittles. So KD was like he still likes Skittles. He still likes Skittles. He caught that man. But it was that connection. It was like man. Let me bring this nostalgic moment to my child.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

We binge-watched the whole Bad Boys saga, like eight and a half hours, yeah, and he a numbers person too. He was like the first one was like 92 minutes, you know, it was like 96, 98, something like that. And then Bad Boys 2 was, I think, think the longest one, like that's still my favorite, still my favorite, still my favorite. We didn't get to watch that one yet because he got turned up. How, how long it was? Funny thing, man, I think I'm not sure. No, I had them watch. Uh, rush hour, we had watched all the rush hour movies. This was man, this was like two years ago kj was at the house and um, y'all ever seen rush hour.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Because I feel like that's a movie to where, especially being at the age they are, they kind of like that in between, graduating from watching like cartoons to like get into some real shit adult jokes. Yeah, you find like. So I feel like the rush hour you know movies is like a perfect embed between it being comedic. You know what I'm saying? Sure, it's some, you know some language. You know what I'm saying Some nudity, you know what I mean. Like they mean, like they're saying the thing when it started up.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But hey, when I was a kid I used to watch the like when they would give you like at the beginning, and he'd be like brief nudity. I'm like, oh, I'm a while, yeah, I'm gonna watch this. She's my drug language violence, my violence. You know what I'm saying. But it's good enough, like niggas shooting machine guns and shit. You know what's your goddamn button. You know what I'm saying. It's like whoa, should we be watching? It's like, no, it's cool, you're growing up, it's fine.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But uh, along with the bad boys series, like you said, and the rush hour, I feel like those are good, kind of you know pre-teen graduation movies like yo, check this out. That's why I used to watch, especially when you make a connection between something new coming out, like bad boys 4, what's the fourth one called ride or die, ride or die. I keep thinking bad boys 4, life is 4, but that's three. So I get confused. But, um, but bad boys ride or die, um, but when they see all this, the new one came out. Man, it's like what year did the first bad boy movie come out? Like 97, like between 96 98. I think the bulls might have won, it wasn't 99. Yeah, because he was still shooting. Uh, he was still shooting fresh Prince at the time. Right, that's wild, that is wild. And Martin, I think, was still filming, still doing Martin Martin, that's crazy.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Hello, baby, I ain't hear you, baby, what you say. Oh yeah, I'm sorry, we recording. Oh yeah, I'm sorry, we recording. You can get that so I can eat now. Nah, too late. Hello, sorry, freedom speakers, I ain't mean for y'all to hear that, but keep that you did. That's how you keep your marriage spicy. That's flirting. That's flirting with your baby.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

You got to use what you got. You get what you want. You got to use what you got. Use what you got. Ronnie Ho quotes yeah, yeah, hey, hoes, hey, man, I don't dog hoes, I like hoes and I know we going a little bit off hand. No, it's okay, but Mike Lowry had a bunch of hoes too.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

What'd you say yesterday? This rehearse, this rehearse? No, you said. What did you say? Retraining? Yeah, yeah, we retraining man eight months. I refuse to say it's been a year, it's been eight months because we've recorded in 2024. I have to check the archives. We might have, man, I have to see it. I won't lie and say none. But I miss you, bro. I miss you too, man, and it ain't like you know. We ain't beefing or nothing. You know what I'm saying. I see this nigga two times a week. You know what I'm saying.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So, freedom speakers, we want to make sure to let y'all know we're not breaking up. There's not a divorce or anything. But life is not fair to anybody, that's right. Life gets in the way of what it's doing to you. Yeah, and this is fun, you feel me, we enjoy it. We love to bring this to y'all. We're trying to hit all the markets that we can and how to video the audio. And you know everybody, you know really get, get a chance to. You know, get get submerged in us and what we doing and what we bringing to y'all. But yeah, it's fun, but it is. You know it is work. It's work that come with it. You know what I'm saying.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Like, even when we're done recording this work on the other side, shit that you're doing editing he's right, chief, he's really into this shit. He's really into a lot shit, almost to a fault. It's like just run, it's good, it's good, leave it like all right, what the fuck? Let's go. Like man, I'm timberland, gonna hear this one day.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But it's like no, I, I'm putting my passion on it, I care about it, I do know where it can go, where it can take us. Just got to stay consistent with it, man. But got to be consistent. But life been like I said. It's been life been preparing us for. I was giving you background, oh yeah, I was going, I would go. I was giving you background, oh yeah, I was going to go. Timbaland, don't hear this. Yeah, shout out to Timbo. But no man, life was one of them. Life was exposing me and preparing me for what's to come. Man, that's the way I want to put it.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

The podcast was most definitely a good thing to do. Get out information. I always look at it as art. Like man, this is my art, this is another form of something that I can do, but it also helped me, like, helped me grieve a little bit, man, in the passing of my uncle. That was heavy to me. You know, working things almost definitely in my life and my relationships with people family, uh, mother, children, wife, siblings, you know, co-workers, staff, but just making sure we we on a healthy, good path. You know I'm saying they look to me to lead, so I want to make sure that I'm correcting myself and I'm I'm distributing the best information that I can, to my knowledge. So I got to continuously feed myself knowledge, absolutely.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So let's get into it, you know, because this is Permission to Speak Freely. Yes, sir, you know, let's not forget. You know why we're here? Because this may be therapy to the listeners, but it's definitely therapy for us. Just sitting down and talking, which is something that we do often, it's just a matter of hitting record or not, you know, and we fought that.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Sometimes, freedom Speakers, we talk a lot. We talk a lot, but we don't be having the cameras around. Sometimes some shit just for us. That's a fact. Yeah, yeah, all right, as much as we would love to, we can't give y'all everything. Hey, yeah, it get heavy, but in the last eight months, you know what has been some of the challenges that's come your way Some of the obstacles, hurdles you had to get over, bridges you had to get under. You know Rivers you had to swim, you know white waves and all that shit. Like what were some things. Because ultimately, you know, you come out on top, you come out on top and come out on top as much as life send you through shit or take you through shit. You know, time and time again I've seen you. You come out victorious. You know what I'm saying. So what were some of those things in the last couple of months? If you want to share, if you want to share, that was like that you want to give to the freedom speakers and maybe they can find something in it to get them through what they're going through. For sure, for sure, man. So one of the things I'd like to say to you, russ, thank you for having that view of me coming out victorious on things For sure.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

I've heard in different spaces like man, you seem like you always got your shit together or you pretty good at like holding yourself together, and it's not without practice, it's not without, it's not like without thought. Man, you know what I'm saying, but I permission to speak freely. You already know my nigga. I'm anointed like a motherfucker. Yeah, god has always covered me, nigga. So I love to go into battle, knowing like I got the biggest motherfucker protecting me and I'm equipped to handle shit.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But because when you got a confidence like that and you roar like that motherfucker, really try to dim the light, try to beat that shit up. They'll try to. They'll discredit any and everything that you stand for, assassinate your character, just because you believe in your fucking self. That's a fact. Okay, so I had to remember what I am and had to put myself back where I was and not have to keep fucking with the people who I'm only beneficial for them through pain, like I'm only supportive to them through pain, or they only looking for me when they feel like I'm in a fucked up situation. But when you up, most people don't cheer for you. You get you some of them. Booze your boo. To me, haters is just evil fans. Haters are just the evil fans. They, they gonna. They gonna talk, they shit they gonna.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But remember, is is all press, yeah, it's all press. They still giving your name power, even if they speaking ill on it, they still empowering you is how you choose to digest it, man. So being able to kind of have that mindset and that ferociousness, that that killer instinct, that hey, that I don't like to turn that on the people that I love, but for for battle, it's like, hey, what pox say, I ain't got no love for my enemies, damn sure, ain't got no fucking love for me. So it's mercy for some, but sympathy for none. I can't feel for none. You my enemy.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So when I'm viewed like that or you put in a place like that, or you attack like that, because when you chosen or you gifted or you choose to ride on your individuality on your own, people will try to discredit you, belittle you. And, man, when you do shine or it do look like, hey, you do, come out on top, motherfucker, be mad that you came out on top or at least it appears to be Like hey, as I expressed to you bro, hey, I'll be down for repairs and maintenance, as I call it. Like like, hey, man, I'm, I'm exhausted right now, bro, I've been like pushing myself, I've been doing this and I've been doing that. I need a recharge, I need a vacay, bro. I'm gonna take me a couple days off or a week off, whatever I need, to just be able to meditate and get my shit right. But it really, it really put me in a place of like after each battle, like damn, I can't believe this really fucking happened to me. I gotta reflect.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So early in the year I knew we had all this coming for business. Just for a second. I had all this coming for business, that's work. I knew a that's paperwork, that's numbers and lines and signatures and dot nines and crossing t's. That's as simplified as I can put it. But I also knew where I was in the space with my relationship with my wife. Like, hey, hey man, we working on things. I'm looking to fall deeper in love with her, I'm trying to educate her on me, I'm trying to learn her. We trying to not be yelling at each other. No, volume over six, don't insult each other Over six. Yeah, but it's authentic trying, nigga, we authentically trying.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

And not that it's issues that we nigga, that people constantly go through, that you're like, oh, I'm just trying, this relationship is so hard. It's like no man Sometimes you can be, you can be agitated by another issue and because your spouse or your job or whatever sometimes is the easiest outlet to blame, that they can take that punishment Indirectly. You didn't mean to. But it's like, hey man, motherfucker, just cut me off and driving, are you coming? Like man, you good, yeah, I'm good, but I spilled something on the floor. I spilled the food on the floor. Now you mad as fuck and it's like you really not mad that I spilled the food, unless it's all flats barbed buffalo with the ranch and I just spilled this shit and that Asian chili wings, whatever they like, man, don't drop it. Whatever they like, they get you lucky. You know what I'm saying.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

But that being said, man, it was I had to bring this out like that smooth, suave, like 89 to 96 LL Cool J. That shit had to go. It was like, man, I had to be a part of myself. That's gotten me to this, because it sometimes it don't. It don't pay to be like, hey, man, I'm just, I'm a, I'm a be a punching bag because it never does. I'm a be a punching bag because it never does. To be honest, it don't pay to be a punching bag or pay to be around people who, man, they really not meaning you. No, real fucking good, you get to kind of see how they treat themselves of. Like hey, man, I know people can argue all day long and try to pick apart what you say. Like I wouldn't do that to you. I don't see you do certain shit for yourself, so I don't feel like you'll treat me better than you treat you. Yeah, that's just logic. Like I don't think so, yeah.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

So, that being said, man, I had to reinvent. Why don't we say reinvent myself, like this identity of me is new. I had to find myself again, bro. I got, I got lost and got consumed and so many other other things that, hey, man, I I had to. I think we talked about this, like, bro, like I had to remind myself of who I am and what I am, regardless of how it makes some people feel, of how I feel about myself, I'll promote everybody to have a certain esteem about themselves, everybody to have a certain esteem about themselves. Okay, like that's, that's a, that's a level of self love, having confidence, having, like you know the world right now.

Thee Highest Chief Ali:

Man, you can't body shame nobody. You can't tell nobody that's right until the way they be bald-headed. You can't tell nobody, just can't tell nobody. Can't be honest, yeah, you almost cannot be honest without you're shaming man, yeah, your body's shaming. These used to be considered really good jokes back in the day. You had some really good Yo Mama jokes. Fat Yo, mama joke Some good ones. Prademan Spakers, tell us your best Yo, mama joke. No-transcript.
