Speaker 1:

I went to church with my mom on Sunday. You said what. You said what now, man? You said what, bro? I went to church with my mom on Sunday. How was that, man? How was it? It was cool. It was a. It was like we went to the church. I grew up. My mother she actually just like rejoined the church a few weeks ago Hmm, probably been like two months, probably been like two months ago. She said, you know, the spirit moved her, talked to her and she went up there at the end of the service and rejoined the church.

Speaker 1:

This is the church we grew up in, you know, me and my mom. It's like, so it's the from big mama to mama needs. Yeah, pretty much the way the story goes. My grandmother started going there because my uncle, lawrence girlfriend at the time, la U I T, that's where her family went, so that's where my uncle started going, and because my family went to Mount Nibo but then started going to Mount Hermon and 40th Union. But it felt good being in there, man, just you know it ain't too much change, ain't too much change.

Speaker 1:

I, legit, have not been to church like, besides a wedding or a homegoing, I have not been to church. Oh, over five years. Yes, less than 10 years. So don't get to the line though. Somewhere between five and 10 years, you know, since, since slow was a baby because he's taken down to the nursery yeah, I hadn't, I hadn't been to church in that long, but it felt good to be there and being around the folks who knew me since I was a young you know saying I used to be in that baby's and ties nursery too. And my brother, josh, came through because my mom got her her right hand of fellowship. You don't have to join in the church and stuff like that. So, but it was cool, man, and my uncle was happy to see me there.

Speaker 1:

I didn't go down for altercalls, you know, because, I'll be honest, at the same time I felt a little weird. It's like, nah, I ain't going down, stay right here. And then I'm up in the balcony and right after all the altercalls, my uncle turned around and he looked up at me. I came to salute and then my auntie turned around and she waving everything because he had. Every time I seen, when you come to church I'd be like, oh man, tomorrow and tomorrow be like Thursday is some stupid ass shit. Oh, they close all day. Guess I can't go. I was available but but it definitely felt good being there. Man, I got it, so I might go back this Sunday, just so I don't get a.

Speaker 1:

I want to be labeled a CME. You know the CME? No, that's somebody who only go to church on Christmas, mother's Day and Easter. Cme, cme member, that's what they call them. You only come on Christmas, mother's Day and Easter when they give it out Chocolate. Hey, that's a good little acronym. I wouldn't even hit the CME. They call it the CME. That's the only time they come to church. But no, it was. It was cool, don't man think I might think I might go back.

Speaker 1:

What did you miss about it, man? Like I know you said, it's been a many since I've been there, but what the thing is, when it comes down to, it's such a, it's such a connection with myself and that place. Again, me and my family, we grew up in here, man, we sung in the choir and we, you know, was on the usher boards and you know we'd be at church, or good you know, two, three days out of the week, you know, including Sunday service, and we'd be there nine, nine, thirty in the morning for Sunday school and really the whole thing, the whole thing. So, just being back in that place, it was. It was something, man, it was something that Laura speak to you while you was there. I don't think we speak right now, no, but for me it was just. It was just like man.

Speaker 1:

I spent a lot of, a huge chunk of my life in this place, so it was. It was that more than anything. I don't know if that's like the wrong thing to say, but for me it didn't have much to do with religion. It was pretty much all about seeing the people who watch me grow up, who hadn't seen me in a long time, who was happy to see me, surprised to see me you growing up. Now though, yeah, I get a lot of that and I tell my wife, I say, yeah, if I come home and I got lipstick on my cheek, you know why, it's from a sister, mary Clarence. Yeah, yeah, she got it. Yeah, sister Daniels, yeah, you're all in, so silver, that was with my grandma girl back in the year.

Speaker 1:

There you go, the church, but, but it was cool though, man, and not not much change. Man, you know the church, the Baptist church, at least you know. Should I say that's the only one I can speak on. It's different now than it's been. You know the last 100 years. You know it's a lot different. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1:

I didn't bring any cash to put in like the offering play, you know, like that. So to my mom, like, oh, I am okay, you sound good. They take cash out Venmo. It'd be up on the screen when they pull out. You know not gonna not let you pay that 10%. Yeah, god, god, do that. And um, and even I had done, because I didn't.

Speaker 1:

I have a Bible. I forgot to bring it. So I just downloaded the quick Bible app. You know saying ads and shit popping up. When I'm trying to look up description, like how you gonna add some of the Bible app, you interrupted the word, trying to get me to get State Farm shit. It wasn't State Farm. I want to blame them for that, but I'm trying to hurry up and get to chapter two, titus. I get it, man. I got this ad popping up and I got to wait 10 seconds to skip it. Now I'm behind. What chapter? You said what verse? But it was nice. It was definitely nice, good to be in the house of Lord One more time. Let the church say, yeah, that's what they do, but nah, it was good though. Man, how was your weekend this past weekend? We ain't been in here in a while, yeah, man. So before I even get into my weekend, I just want to.

Speaker 1:

I want to say man to you, to the listeners, freedom speakers, everybody who tuned in to the show was appreciative of what we do, the content that we're aiming to put out, the position we're looking to put ourselves in moving to 2024. I just want to give thanks to everybody that's been riding with us throughout 2023 as we are dusting off some chops. Man, we're not familiar to the studio where microphones pause, but we are, we dusting this off now just to be able to kind of exercise a talent of speaking freely. So, for everybody that tunes in, that wears our merch, that downloads an episode, that shares all of the different things with us on all of the platforms of Apple Music, all, just all of them, too many to name right now. My apologies, but just thank you all for rocking with us. Amazon music we really appreciate it. Spotify listeners, you know, the Google Podcast listeners, the Instagram Live listeners yeah, the video was coming for YouTube and all of the other visual platforms, but we wanted to actually get a good handle on the audio first. So very, very thankful for everybody that that rocks with us. Man. 2024, we're going to do some more, but just wanted to, that is give, that's what it is. 2024, we're going to do some more. Hey, cheers to that.

Speaker 1:

Black out Brown, roy Black, yeah, so so we're going to recap my weekend, man, and I'm going to go in reverse, because that's the easiest way I can remember. Man, my, my memory be fucked up sometimes. Other memories help you remember other shit. Yeah, yeah, they trickle like that. Oh, yeah, before that, yeah, I did that. Yeah, I got to take you back back back with all started.

Speaker 1:

But yesterday we went to Monday Night Raw, man KJ and I. So I saw that you posted on the live. Yeah, I thought you was talking about some other shit. No, no, man, I went to Monday Night Raw live down at the Rocket Morgan Stadium. Man At the arena. I enjoyed it. This is my first time actually going down there for wrestling event. Yeah, and we got there on time, which is surprising for me. That's amazing.

Speaker 1:

So, all on the going into normally these events and we talking business, we talking shop, and we kind of see half time and we gone you know what I'm saying, we on the third match, but they had the WWE main event, which is like your preliminaries, your warm up crowds, you know that type of thing. But I got a chance to see them and the whole production behind the scenes of like the commercial break. They don't fix in the ring, people come out and stretching, kind of just talking with each other. I was like I'm going to get energy and I was not aware of this energy and so me going there with my son experiencing these things, man, I want to say one I love the fucking energy, I love it and it's smack talking kind of almost at its best. You is, it's arena, remember this is I'll make a sign. No, but I found out my formula. You know me, I'll make a sign. I'll make all my formulas. Like as for how we were set up in the seats, it's not that hard too much to get on TV, but you have a really nice shirt that says something. You get you a nice sign like that, how more, the more creative or out there it can be, you run risk of catching just no, no on the screen to jump or try something, man. So I'm going to be on TNT.

Speaker 1:

I was sitting next to a guy on my right. This cage was on my left. I'll sit next to a guy on it on my right who was very adamant. I'll say that he was very energetic and that's coming from an energetic person, that a destiny was up there. But he jumping around in the seats, he's talking smack to other people. That's in front of us.

Speaker 1:

They got the crowd favors that people like and they got like the villains. But it's really like the opera of it of you know, people chanting and cheering for this guy. They don't care about this guy. And I'm getting, he's getting an attitude. He's like come on, ram, look at him. You see, you see me slow, count for this guy. He's really quick on him.

Speaker 1:

I see things like that. I'm like yeah for sure, my, who are you rooting for? I'm like the one guy that's fighting the other guy, same doldrum. Who you? Who you get me. Yeah, yeah, my dude. Yeah, yeah, it's one of them. I'm like man, but he's been watching this shit since he was six. Yeah, one of those. It's fucking real to me, man. You ever see it. It's one of those like hey, man, it's sports entertainment. Yeah, man, don't forget the entertainment part. Let's go, man. But I loved it, man, I loved it. I loved it and I love them. My son loved it.

Speaker 1:

So we did that Friday. I mean Monday, monday night, monday night, raw. But we got the chance to see that. Enjoy it. He, feeling pumped, he's sending his francus I can see him looking over at his phone. He's sending stuff to his friends to snap. Oh, you guys get really good seats. You're so jealous, yeah. But he's like, yeah, he's a cool kid right now. He got to experience this. You know what I'm saying. Now you got a cool excuse when he coming to school looking tired the next day, oh yeah, it was out. What's wrong? Oh shit, me and my Monday night raw. You know the usual, yeah, something you might not never know about, but it was. It was straight love there, man, it was straight love.

Speaker 1:

So Sunday Sunday is always Marvel movie day for me, like that's like a religion for me. So Sunday we watched a little bit of Marvel movies and what you learned this time on the Marvel tip is something that you pulled. Which one did you watch? I always watch the Iron man one. So I watched Iron man three because it's Christmas. It's Christmas, yeah, it's Christmas. Everybody can have a hobby, merry Christmas and take them to church. But it's little little things like that. I watched Captain Marvel. I watched Captain Marvel.

Speaker 1:

Just got one to see, kind of like, how strong she was and where, like where she actually came from, see that she had that shit. Yeah, if I heard it take a headbutt from Thanos and he like knocked her ass out of the movie. The two women gave someone geek out, but it was the two women who gave him hell. It was Scarlet Witch. And it was Scarlet Witch, is that? Don't say that that witch, see that? So it was Scarlet Witch. And then it was a old girl, a Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel, yeah, came in, destroyed the ship, whooped on there. I remember she had the rain, fire. I'm going to go down the line, but I digress. We going to try to stay calm today. Sure, but I watched that one and I watched Captain Marvel.

Speaker 1:

So when I pulled from Iron man, three was you got to emotionally see the shift change of Tony Stark and remember he was a play, he was a genius playboy, billionaire. The answer you know what I'm saying. So, and two, he got bit in the ass from knocking over the, screwing over people because he was an asshole. That's a part of his character. And three, you get to see him become, like, more docile. He gets to become more family oriented. Yeah, woman, now you get to see the human side of him, he having panic attacks. You know what I'm saying. But I can identify with this character of how Marvel did a great job like developing these people and casting. Every development is phenomenal.

Speaker 1:

So seeing the development of him and then even further in little things that he says of remember his in three, his house got blew up. So he said in two, his house got. You never won. Malibu got blew up, malibu got blew up. He got the house got blew up. Remember when his, when happy got hurt and he was with the the what the hell is then I just the name of the villain in there and it was in three.

Speaker 1:

That's when he did the remote suit for a pepper. Yeah, yeah, but he did the remote. He did the remote suit flying on. That was a new tech. Yeah, it was a new tech. Yeah, I got the house got blew. They was in there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and when he fricking because he used to have to call the suit like this. Now he got the nano, he pulled him up, josh drinks and there it goes. But he started calling the suit and, as you're watching, oh yeah, he's gonna put the suit on, save himself. He called the suit to get on pepper to protect her and I was just fucking dope. That was dope. He had a remote into her but the villain that he had was a oh, fucking, I was in the Mandarin. Yeah, yeah, you gotta take a drink. Yeah, there we go. New rule. So we had the Mandarin, but they showed you just the cinema of how they had the Besson, the scenes of whoever playing this character. But if you pay attention to Mandarin, signal has been all throughout the Marvel. You know the little symbol.

Speaker 1:

So when I got to see that and get to see this identify with him in his man cave, which that's a goal of mine, I want that type of man cave. I got nice cars on one side and got tools. I got my other side on lounge and kicking in his lounge Last door up I'm actually Vanessa Gonna, give me a tension ride with some real dope curtains. So I got hammering and that has beads. Hey, what's up? Y'all Buster rhymes in the shaft, moves. It's show me like this is in this mother fucker burning man. Look waterfalls.

Speaker 1:

But I seen that man. I saw just the character of me. Man Grow as a human being, grow as a father we had kids but grow to care for something more than themself. He cared about pepper, he cared about happy Business got blew up. But the line I wanted to take was after his house got blew up I forgot it. I think in a ventures Ultron he said I don't think I'm gonna take a page out of Barton's book and go give me a farm or something. And actually did. Yeah, yeah, even more fucking far. And I didn't even peep that. They did go see this nigga out of fucking far Billionaire, contrusionaire House in the Wood Took a page out of Barton's book. But that was one of my hey man, that's nigga raw, but it was one of them.

Speaker 1:

Like I didn't see that development character until I sat back and just shout out to Clint Barton man, hawkeye, yeah, who don't get enough credit, man, he don't man, because he the only event, he the only one that got kids, yeah, the only one that he got like, of course he got real world responsibilities. Then he got real world responsibility. He got a family. They're like three kids. You don't understand. And he's the only one, the only one who got children A family. Cap ain't got no kids. Tony ain't got no kids, none of them. Niggas, hawkeye end up killing the bitch. He can't get it. I don't think he can control it. No, he can't get it. No, he takes smash in the litter room. Yeah, y'all don't want that. No, no, no, but uh, but yeah, man, shout out to Clint Barton man, strongest Avenger, Goddamn.

Speaker 1:

I say, but that's the one thing that I pulled from there watching it. Like hey, how they developed everybody, even it's hard Captain America. At the end he was like I think I, he got married, yep Got married. It just showed the little ring of him getting married. And then Lowe didn't notice that that was Peggy, that he was dancing with that thing. He didn't notice. You know, I'm like that's, that's Captain, that's her. He went back and got. They danced and they danced a few times. Apparently they had a little house. You know what I'm saying? Nothing, nothing crazy. And the door was still open. It was open like a motherfucker. He just walked back through and she just I felt like they just got that house because the fucking landscape was horrible.

Speaker 1:

It's like God damn, trim these bushes out, this bitch, captain man, you could just rip these bitches out the ground. You was ripping logs and shit, shit, this thing, don't take my stuff. You could just rip some brush out of the ground. Well, yeah, go back and look at the enlightening, these fucking houses, motive cuts for grass. Trim this shit, take that out. That can go, take that, but it's like they must just move there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, as you said, like this is Marvel. Shit is our Bible. It is Religiously watched. This shit. We learn lessons from this shit. We take quotes. The same way you would take a scripture from the Bible, you could take something from in-game and say you know, everything is special from you Came out of a bottle, but on the suit, let's go up here. Yeah, let's go up here. You know what I'm saying. If it comes what? What? Um, you're not the guy who's going to make what, would somebody told Tony say you're not the guy who's going to lay his life on the line for the final play or some shit like that. I think Cap told him that. Yeah, remember so. Like you ain't him with.

Speaker 1:

When it comes to this hero shit, this real hero shit, you know what I'm saying Like and I love Tony and I'm going to just talk my shit real quick. You, you cute, you flashy, you, thank you All right, but when it comes down to being on Tyson hero, he's saving motherfuckers and putting down your life. But in the end, in the end, and even when you look at the look on Captain or Doctor Strange's face when he even knew when he, but before that, even when he had to look at Tony, he said Tony said how many we win. And he looked at Tony and said one one they just met. They just met each other earlier in the movie and Doctor Strange told him if it comes down to saving you, the kid or the stone, I won't hesitate to let either of you die. He said that shit 20 minutes ago our time and now he looked. I got to get this picture wet because he going to be the one. That's some cold shit, yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's bringing me in, I know, I know we, we said we wouldn't get it, but it brought me in.

Speaker 1:

So in me watching Doctor Strange and I feel like Doctor Strange and Tony are stellar. They're the same in different universes, and I say that because they both got egotistical, asshole mentality, so extremely great at what they're doing. I identify with that. Like what you watch. The first Doctor Strange, they, they both. But then they had to be humble, yeah, or because he had to.

Speaker 1:

He has a doctor, the best, best, steadiest 30th hands in the field, or whatever. He had niggas when it comes to the service. He would brandish his intelligence, yep, he would brandish how smart he was, even in the operating table talking shit about the music and when it was released and just little, little, fucking snapper facts that everybody ain't cute to know. I got to watch it, yet he lived in his dark towers. I didn't, I didn't know that, like until I watched it again. Like I watched it. I'm like it's, it's little. Is it called an Easter egg? Little stuff like that, it's little. I'm like damn, when he was arguing with his lady and no, he was green, ready to go out before he got to that car accident that fucked his hands, messed his hands up.

Speaker 1:

You get to see Start towers, start industries in the building. He lives in one of these top floors of. Hey, you got to be him to be in here in this penthouse. You know what I'm saying. But remember here, high millionaire, top flat doctor, you know what I'm saying Making he riding, taking cases based on how difficult it is, more than like saving lives. So still the same thing with Tony. So that takes me to the point of where all of this top notch shit from them both, where it's taking away these penthouses and great.

Speaker 1:

And they both went to like cave, like places. Tony was in the cave with the one guy who helped him with the reactor in his chest and then Strange was in kamutash, but they had to both be broken down the ground level. But because they both are ingenious motherfuckers, tony's ingenious human, but ingenious Strange is human and he just studied, like I got a photographic memory, just they. But they, they can bring, they are as great as they are because the motherfuckers not afraid of work, yeah, they not they, they not afraid to be like I got out of this shit because I figured a fucking way out. You can't tell me there's not a way out, you can't. So I, I dissect into these characters of life and they both got handshits, that little, that throwing up gang.

Speaker 1:

So I see the character development and I like it, man, but in in the end games, or forgot which one to well, yeah, I think it was Phineadivore and get one of the two where they send each other back and Strange is nowhere to be found but they send a halt to go and get the time stone from. Oh yeah, the ancient one, yeah, and I rock with the ancient one, especially now. I'm just sitting there, I'll be listening to it. It's just dope ass philosophy, like man, look, you're about to happen, man, you guys stay above it. Yeah, it's tripping Like just some. But they said in such a poise way as, like that shit really is the shit.

Speaker 1:

But when I saw my name have to put the hands to the, to the halt, just on some simple like that's a master type of mood of me, like you can't scrap with the halt, you can't scrap with the heart. So be seeing her hit that, hit him with that astro and bring him to like, hey, knock the banner out. This man, let's have a conversation, shall we? But I, I it's little things like that I'm like, damn, everybody had a reality check, for sure, every everybody had a reality check, man. So I spent a lot of my weekends smoking weed watching that. Yeah, that made me. That made me want to go, and I'm gonna probably watch Dr Strange again tonight and get more of that care, because you know that's one of the ones that you will find yourself watching once, like I saw it moved on.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying On to other Avengers. But you've got to respect strength. Everybody plays an important role, I think, without, without taking one of them out and this shit don't go the way it need to go. You know what I mean. So even when it, you know they credit Thor, it, and I'm fucked with Thor. That's my dog.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying. But when you, when you had a conversation, strongest Avengers, like everybody, everybody play a part, you know. And just just when you talking on the on the, on the big, the big 80, if you will, you know what I'm saying Tony, kat, wanda, clint, hawk and after Thor, and then throw in, you know, falcon, and like actual niggas who like Avengers on the team, not just who popped up in end game, but like on the team y'all. I've worked with them on a few jobs. You know it's a friend from work. Yeah, yeah, cause we all know Wanda, fuck everybody up.

Speaker 1:

I don't think Wanda cause herself in the venue, she more. She like a fucking villain now this one crazy, she's like an auntie villain. Yeah, she's like we love you, but we're stuck. She'd have let them take you out, do right, it was gonna come and get your head Protected you, exactly, exactly, 1000%, man. So check this out. Man, I want to uh real quick. I got a couple of things I want to share with you real quick.

Speaker 1:

Moving into sports, man, just for a second. Um, did you watch the chiefs in the in the bills game? Did I watch it? Yeah, what day did that come on? Uh, sunday. Nope, I was watching the Avengers Sunday. Yeah, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I know me, ketchup. I watched the Browns and I watched Old State. Everybody else is kind of like, yeah, man, browns did that thing. By the way, shout out to Joe Flack Name started for the rest of the season.

Speaker 1:

My nigga like 48 years old I'm gonna say he's really old in sports. But I like, yeah, old life In sports. Yeah, well, he used to give us hell. You know what I'm saying. Now he on the squad. So like, joe, you, you all right with me. Joe DiGio, come on to the land and do your thing, man.

Speaker 1:

But uh, last player of the game score is a. You know, uh, kc needs to touchdown and win the game. And what do they do? Go out there, get a motherfucker touchdown. What you mean? Kansas City Chiefs nigga, we scored. That's what we do. We win games, championships, nigga contenders. You know what I mean, not pretenders, actual contender. You know what I'm saying. Shout out to the Dallas Cowboy.

Speaker 1:

Um, Kaderia Smith, called offside and into the ball. Travis Kelsie threw a touchdown. Motherfucker, fake, hand up boolee Touchdown. Did he throw it to Taylor Swift? Maybe after the game? Maybe after the game? But uh, yeah, man, kaderia's Tony was called offside.

Speaker 1:

I'll show you real quick. He was lined up. You see him circle there on the photo and they say now, usually if this happened mid game, you getting a warning from the rep. You know what I'm saying. Hey, you be warned, move back a little bit To me. You see where he lined up. You know and we know that blue line is an unofficial line. You see ref right here, and I'm actually just noticing this. You see ref right here. He got the whistle in his hand. He about to blow this bitch. He bought the blood. Yep, soon as they.

Speaker 1:

I'm like uh, he's offside man, his foot is ahead of the ball, his foot is ahead of the ball and ball is just behind the blue line. His foot is on the blue line. You know when you're being trained at the receiver position, yo, yo, front foot is supposed to be lined up with the tackles feet. All of the tackles feet is fucking back here, rannick. They're running like max protection because they're trying to get this playoff, but he's clearly offside. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

I want to go back and look at the play again, you know, because it was a great, great fucking play and it's a shame that that shit was called back offside into the ball game. But it's like, fuck ref, I'd be the first one to say, man, these red, they are whistle happy in the league right now and I don't like that shit. I feel like when it comes down to into the game shit like that, they could throw them whistles in trash, not on some like anything goes type shit. You know, if it's some shit where it's like it is, just punch the fuck out and they got the line. Of course you know, sam not being ridiculous, but hey, throw them whistles and you're tucked in bitches. Let them ball. Let's let them ball, man. You know, we know what I mean. So, hey, that's what's going on there, man.

Speaker 1:

And the other news. Moving on to the Browns, our guy, a franchise record, dustin Hopkins, our kicker, set a franchise record 31 field goals made in a single season, 31. And he been smacking some long ones too. That was a 55 yarder. I believe this dude is legit. Now I was surprised to hear that that was the franchise record because you may remember about 14, 15 years ago we had this guy named Phil Dawson, number four. He was that dude. He was kicking 40 yarders in blizzards and buffalo and shit. He was that dude. You know what I'm saying. And franchise record. And plus, you know that was back when we couldn't get an end zone, we had to kick. That's all we get is three points. So we can get. All we can get is three goddamn points. Man, 63 yards, close enough for you. That's good, you got it, bro. Put your all into it. You got it. Put your legs You're going to wear my regular leg, not for real. Go ahead, but no man. So shout out to Dustin Hopkins man man, happy you were brown.

Speaker 1:

Moving on to basketball real quick. Shout out to Los Angeles Lakers, first team ever to win the NBA N-Season tournament. Did you check out any of the tournament games. I watched some of the tournament games and got very confused, man. I was locked down during COVID and a lot of stuff changed. So I was like hold on, the season ended with this tournament, shit. Man. I think I hit you up the next day Like, hey, the Lakers won, it's over, it's Frank's you like Ron? They just Ron, got another ring. They changing up shit, just because they get a toe ring for this For this guy, baby toe. But shout out to them, man.

Speaker 1:

But I saw a meme. It said man, brian out here balling for that $500, it's like a billionaire balling for that $500,000. Like, say, I ain't gonna eat tonight. It's like, hey, man. But I respect what he was doing, man, because he acknowledged even what he said after the game was you know, some of our younger guys on the Timnate contracts aren't as hefty as some of his veteran guys. That $500,000 is a lot to them. Yeah, it's everything. Yeah, they're more from the contact you get. That you know. And I feel like I could be wrong. I heard my nigga kind of cheap, but he said it himself. But I feel like he may take his $500,000 and buy that up between some of the less-to-pay niggas on the Timnate.

Speaker 1:

Hey, man, that's for y'all. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, split that up $100,000 for each y'all. Now y'all got six. You know what I'm saying? Go break some eggs. Oh, happy day, go break some eggs. But they got my, they got my bag.

Speaker 1:

They say this is embarrassing. And I'm with it. You know what I'm saying. The Bronn is a winner, the ultimate competitor. My man, I ain't here popping champagne. Now, look, I'm gonna have to go back and see what they got the guy. You know how they do with the goggles. Now they got the hats popping champagne. I need to do some research. Oh man, that's yeah, he got on the tournament. Yeah, the end season tournament, yeah, popping champagne. Like this, the finals, and they like I don't care if you look at the product, it's embarrassing, just because the end season tournament is new. It's new to us. You know what I'm saying. And we don't take it.

Speaker 1:

I'm like I was ready to get in season, they trying to make the early season games more competitive, because, I'll be honest, I really don't start watching basketball like heavy, heavy until after the All Star break, or I'll say during, because I watched the All Star shit, and then after that because that's what it is. Jockeying for playoff spots yeah, you can get me to tune in to almost any sport. When it's really competitive, yeah, like playoffs, it's on in the play. That's when I watch basketball. That's why I watch almost any sport, because it's like I've heard players and I play sports. Just Munich League I was a little Munich League backyard chant for a little bit, but I know players will throw games, blow games, get close enough just to get into to the playoffs and it's like why do I need to play 82 games? That's all Like season. Why do I need to play 82 games when I'm finished? Fuck, now I'm ready now. Yeah, got to get another 16 wins in the playoff, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I understand some of the where the competitiveness comes in and I can understand the business structure of them probably saying like we're not getting enough turnout, we're not getting enough people coming in to watch us or even get on TV. Yeah, they're not turning on the TV. I know that's me, that's me. But with this tournament and I could just speak for myself it fucking worked. Because when I turn on the TV and I see that weird ass court, that made my eyes hurt the first time I saw it it was about mommy boys, he stayed. Yeah, it was. It was the Pacers God damn court. Not being biased, I thought the Cavaliers had the best in season tournament court because that shit looked halfway regular. Look normal. The Pacers court and the Nuggets, it must just be the blue. That's like God damn. These niggas playing in Brazil, some shit. It might be the dimensions on your TV. You got a pretty nice ass TV.

Speaker 1:

I keep my shit turned when it's dark. I turn my shit on standard and it makes it dark and nice, you know, but that's like God damn. Hey, you, the only fancy nigga I know that watch your TV through the actual sentence. Yeah, I just turned it down to that. If I'm playing the game with the boys, we got the shit on dynamic. If I'm playing the Eva Speed, I need to see traffic. I put that shit on dynamic. I put you, but KJ, the one who told me about it, man, first. I ain't like it because I'm used to playing on the tube TV. You just squinting on it and I changed my standard settings anyway. So here, although I put it on standard, it's just the name of it. I changed that shit. I just like contrast down. Sharpen it down a little bit. All right, boom, and it gives it a darker. You can just watch it comfortably, all right, spike Lee, hey man, you know I do my thing. You don't want to got me into the big TV's? Niggas, fuck it.

Speaker 1:

10, 11, 12 years ago I remember my first came to your apartment, man over on where it was, that's all you yeah, I'm sitting, had on a Perseus in the niggas Clash of the tight Clash of the tight Clash of the God Nann tight, what's up y'all? Um, it's getting to the scene in the movie where Perseus is going to find the Pegasus. It's a gift to him from Zeus. Oh, before you see Pegasus, you hear him. You hear a horse do. The night night I heard that the TV is here and I hear from my left ear. I look over, like you had the speakers and shit. You know what I'm saying and although it sounded good, that was only coming from this way to give you kind of what, what Perseus heard, all that shit. But uh, but that shit was hard. Man, you got me into the big TV.

Speaker 1:

We started off because I may show, my first big TV was LG, because your shit was LG. I'm like the LG. Nigga broke out the LG. He said they got the best screen. They get that glass or Sony get that glass for their TVs from LG. We got on the shit the salesman got sold he's selling Going to motherfucking BNB appliances yeah, to the HB, that's. That's how old I am, nigga. I bought flat screen plasma TVs the heaviest of bitch BNB appliances Heavy as fuck. They only got that bitch. Nah, we're telling you got BNB appliances, no more. Nah, the guy sold me on it, man, and it was like when I got to see it and I'll say this is a cliff note you never really get to tell the difference.

Speaker 1:

I know the difference between the TVs, like at home. You only get to tell the difference in the story. In the story it's like you kind of picking, like you get to look at 37. These bitches at once. Like I see it. Yeah, you see the water drop on the leaf. You see the caterpillar crawling. You can hear the feet. You can't hear caterpillar feet, but you can hear it. With this you can just hit the apple. You can hear an eagle's eye blink. Nigga, do eagles blink? He's an A for the adult time. She got hair on her nipples. You can't see that. No other wear. Can't see that. No, wear, can't see that. Nope, nope, nope, nope. Remember when Bad Boy Sue, when he turned the TV up hey, look, I know what I did to your ass he turned that shit off. This is at 5.1 surrounds, don't be digital surround, sam.

Speaker 1:

So I say this, man, when I got into the TVs, just on visuals, man, plasma TVs was, or T-flat screen TVs was hot, yeah for sure, and almost everybody, they mama, was just buying the flat screen TV. But hang on, because before, like the standard TV, now and of course after, I call them dinosaur TV, before the floor model with the knobs and what they say, nobody's stealing this motherfucker, you had sure you had a flat screen, but you had a fat ass on the back of that motherfucker too. That's a era of TVs, early 2000s. So if we was gonna say early 2000s, it was a buffy to body ass type TV. Yes, delicious, with two E's. Delicious type of ass TV and booty talk 35, cherokee type of fat ass type of TV. One of them just like why, joe, why the God bless you, like I ain't even I ain't got all that ass but I'm play with, but one of those type of things, man. So, and that's 2000s type of ass TV, new millennium TVs, flat screen, but fat ass Ass. You thought you was doing that long ass. Goddamn.

Speaker 1:

Remote remote. Goddamn 14 inches long and shit Like what the fuck is remote so big? All these buttons I ain't never gonna press. Only person push these bitches is the baby. When they got the baby. And then you got the whole separate bottom part for battery sneak. Yeah, like the whole bottom part is battery to pop a clip in this motherfucker. Hey, we turn challenge. We used to do ignorant shit.

Speaker 1:

This one like cell phones that just came out with the cameras yeah, so this is early 2000s fat back TV technology. Cause, I tell KJ this shit too. Like man, wi-fi is new, nigga, bluetooth is new. Like flat screen TVs is new. Iphones is new Okay, bro, that shit is new. I'm like it's new to you, it's new to us. Like bro, I remember having that one. I didn't have a cell phone until I was 18 and I bought it myself. But I remember some of my friends having revel yeah, having revel phones. Having, yeah, we had revel. They had the Nokia joints which you just only could play snake on there. I remember when you could only get the internet. I remember when you had to pay for minutes. Yeah, and you could use you still can something. Hey, call me after nine. Yeah, my shit was after seven.

Speaker 1:

I had people playing ringtones on the boost mobile phone and next tail, nigga, I bought you ever bought a ringtone? Purchase a ringtone. I bought a ringtone from little Dave. I'm David Jefferson. He sold ringtones off his computer on Sandy First, fuck. So, yeah, well, he selling them cheaper than yeah, because he was selling them 50 cents. Yeah, man, he was like you get like four, fuck dollars, something like that. And he said you little nickel bag Back then You're getting with the price of the potato chips. But I bought one ringtone. Now I didn't get. You know, I'm saying you get T-Pain, a young jog by you would drink. I didn't get motherfucking laughing Tabby. I didn't get you know saying none of that super popular shit.

Speaker 1:

I wanted something that was going to last more than three weeks because another song is coming. Okay, t-pain coming with some most shit. All right, him and Wayne at that time, yeah, I mean you, you, you pay this dollar for this ringtone. Next month You're going to need another ringtone and that's another 99 cents. So I got.

Speaker 1:

I was very selective with the ringtone I got my mama. She let me get you. You need one more for ringtone. I got. I had to use that bitch phone call to have messages, so I got a. I got the young blood presidential. Why are we feeling president? Yes, sir, I got the young. What's that? I don't know. It's your song, bro. You got to tell me what we ride, what we ride Big wheels, big wheels, and talking hard like this. You got to fact check that. What we train. I think that I think that might, that might be man, might be what you? That's the one I got Playing about that dollar.

Speaker 1:

I didn't want it, I didn't want my ringtone to lose fuel and I wanted my shit to be able to go like oh, you got that, yeah, that that wouldn't go last. Like, now you get a ringtone If I, if my phone ring and I got some hour ring on it, I think she's gonna last forever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if I'm getting some new shit the song that just came out a day ago and it's number one, number two on 106 and Park climbing the charts or whatever I'm gonna need enough from another ringtone that remind me. That's the ringtone I selected and I used to record them, bitches. On my phone. My shit is sound good as fuck.

Speaker 1:

I was recording the bitches through some denim jeans so you wouldn't get all that air blowing, yeah, through the denim. I turned the volume up on the radio just loud enough, rather be from a radio CD. Whichever one I recorded, I stopped it just until I got Georgia by a ludicrous and feel my that shit. My ringtones was hard. I should have been selling them, bitches. I was keeping them for me. I had some million that ringtones. I be coming down my text message ring. I recorded that job was still a nigga, if they knew, don't get me started online.

Speaker 1:

You had your bo jeans too. You know, I had some bo jeans. Man Bitch was too big, my brother couldn't fit them. Let me get it. I got some rocker.

Speaker 1:

Wear the 2000s Sean John long ass t-shirt. That far you couldn't just have regular ass t-shirt. You know you couldn't just come with some fruit alone. You can't have Hanes on. As much as we fuck with Jordan. You can't just rock a Hanes t-shirt.

Speaker 1:

Nigga had to be some shit. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. See, I remember that's just going back 2000s. Man Iverson was the nigga too, yeah, so if you had hair. You tried to go ahead and get some Irish braids. Yeah, you get them joints put in.

Speaker 1:

If you had that, if you already had it hair, you was in the game. All you got to throw on is funny enough, because if you had hair, you need to do rag to cover the hair. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you'll get the y'all smarter of it. And nigga, you don't hoot, but nigga, throw on some wristbands. Be, nelly, like a motherfucker. Some wristbands Throw a bandaid on your face, a jersey on backwards, that's it. That's it. You didn't have a ball. We in the game, just stand there. You know, oh, and always the fresh ones, always Big ass shabos. Throw you on like a throwback, yeah, and like a do rag to match, nigga. And maybe like a little Nike wristband, that's it. Get you with like a G-Shock watch, put it on the wristband. Yeah, put the watch on the wristband.

Speaker 1:

Nigga, two watches. I seen Gucci do them like why you need to know what the fuck? You ain't got a phone, it's a. Listen, motherfucker, watch it on there. He said this is my time. This is where my big mama at, this is where she at With 2000s best.

Speaker 1:

So I get that info to KJ like hey, nigga, a lot of this shit is new. My nigga, this is new. So when he says shit like dad back in the 1900s, nigga, you not wrong, but nigga, that ain't that old. Nigga, don't say that Back when we were sharecroppers, right, he remember when he asked me when I was our slave, he's like you work like hard. Nigga, I wasn't there. Hey man, you know low. Uh, so I shared with you earlier my shared a playlist with him, right, and I don't think I ever he see my CDs and shit sitting up on the thing, but I don't think he knew, like, what I had. So when he see me pulling out you know some shit, he had recognized some Drake shit, some J Cole shit.

Speaker 1:

I got plenty of bone shit, but I'm pulling out my CD. I'm missing two J Cole CD. I was hot like a motherfucker. I was missing his first album, cold World, scyline Story, and I was missing for your eyes only I was hot in the motherfucker and I'm like hey, man, with my shit ax law, I swear I was so hot. I'm like man because I already over time, I got two DVDs missing immortal, that movie, theseus, and Transformers, dark of the Moon. That's one of my favorite. I'm still them, still missing. But at that point I'm missing two J Cole CDs and I'm like, hey, what the fuck man? I turned into a goddamn dance hollering up to me Fuck man, fuck my shit out, man. What's your? That man? What the hell? I'm about to start calling nigga, like, hey, man, you got my CD. You, what the fuck?

Speaker 1:

Going on, I end up finding them. I must have just overlooked. I end up finding them. Straight dad shit. I about to say he had a dad moment, like he about to shut down all that shit about to go. We say I'm canceling Christmas. So till I get my shit? No, I don't know, don't go by when I want the same one fucking one, my shit. Better say motherfucking 2011 on the back, mashin Serios.

Speaker 1:

I don't want no re-release, reprinted shit. No, I want the original. We say no digitally remastered shit. None of that. I want my shit to sound nasty, wrong. But I find them and good job, brother, I give it to him.

Speaker 1:

So he's like dad, can I open this? I'm like, yeah, man, go ahead, I'm gonna check out the bug inside my man. He's a new ass nigga. He ain't know how to open this. He ain't know how to open the CD. My nigga trying to pull the bitch from the top, from the sides. He's like dad. He's so serious, like dad, how you open this. He opened it like a book Like, but you know it's a little you gotta kind of hop it a little bit. You know your hands need to be in like this, like you holding a small watermelon that's how you need to be and just pop the biz over. He's like how you open this. He was saying this kind of came to like and he's so new to Earth. Yeah, my nigga G, he's so new to Earth man, but understanding me, so he's probably never opened a CD. Don't know what the CD is A compact disc. So this reminds me wild as shit ever.

Speaker 1:

And when I slid the book out, the mother fucker man I was boogin' here was he like the lyrics. Sometimes you got lyrics and I'm just on some piss-and-art work and he lookin' at this old J Cole albums and shit. You know what I'm sayin', man. That's when it's 2010, 11. Somewhere out there that first album, and not as old as you may think, man, what you got for me. So you know, I always got my KJ story Smell. Got to have him. Need to make that actually a segment.

Speaker 1:

Man, Shout out to my son Read them speakers, if you have children, god bless you. Yeah, man, they make you have to parent extra hard some days, man, and my son does that for me sometimes, but it's a challenge that I love on some goofy shit. So my man, I had told him one day I was carrying in I'm on my dad's shit and I'm carrying in some boxes and groceries and stuff, and I'm like, hey, man, get the ass keys out and unlock the door. And he didn't know. Like first in his defense, he didn't know which key, but I'm walking him through. I got hey man, this is the key, use that and unlock the door. He grabbed the key and didn't know how to put the key in the hole. And once I'm like no man, just slow man, it'll go right on him. Man, it's made to go right on him. He was able to do it. And then he was like the door didn't open.

Speaker 1:

I'm like, oh, yeah, my nigga. Never he's so new. Yeah, I'm like man, first I'm about to get angry, like as the bag's getting heavy and shit. I'm hey, nigga. Hey man, turn it to the left, turn it all the way to the left. You're going to feel what it was. You're going to turn it to the left and bring it back to the right all the way and then bring it back to where you started and then it should open.

Speaker 1:

But I'm like I can't even remember what the formula is, because I've been opening keys. You just do. It's just second nature, it's just one of them. You can do that bitch with the phone, yeah, but I'm like I don't want to assault my baby because he don't know, but I'm, he knew, he just got here. I'm like amen here, hold this milk, god damn it. Hold this, don't drop it, don't drop this shit.

Speaker 1:

But was able to unlock the door and then let us in the house and I'm furious because I'm struggling now. Hold the bags, they have me through the bitch. And you know, dad, we just one take, that's it. It's one take. If I got to say something twice, you're getting the holiday, hey man.

Speaker 1:

So I carried in the bags and then I just had to sit them down and look at them Like amen, amen, you ain't never opened no door before. You never unlocked no door before. He was like no, you guys are always here. He likes it, but I'm like what you give for having a good daddy. Yeah, you're fucking right, man, you're coming in the right. Let me show you You're right. Let me show you how You're going to need this man, because You're going to need this. It just shows the gap. Man, yeah, man, I'm like man. My baby don't know how to unlock the door. He just don't need to unlock it from the inside. Man, my baby couldn't get it from the outside. Amen Got to teach him the simple thing it's our fault. It's our fault, yeah, because we make it too easy for him. We make it too easy and not just us, but society as well.

Speaker 1:

We didn't invent motherfucking iPods and shit. It wasn't us. They got shit. You could buzz yourself into your own house. Yeah, like I'll tell you what. Man, I was driving my mom's car and I took her to the airport. She already had her bags and shit in her car. So, boom, drop her off her car. Park her car in my house for the weekend. What's up? My, oh, I got frustrated as I was driving her vehicle because me and Lola wanted to go with me. We dropped off Grandma. I called her Grandma when I was speaking to Ms Bony with you, stop. He was hungry so we stopped and got him some chicken. That shit was discussed and never going back there. I'm not mentioning your name for two reasons for y'all and for us.

Speaker 1:

I get back in the car. The keys are in my pocket. So I got to open the door and I'm like, oh shit. Usually, you know, you put your hand on the handle with the open on up, you do your thing. So now I'm like, oh shit, I had to stick my hand in my pocket to push the button. I didn't take the keys out. I stick my hand, in feel, for the button, clink, clink, unlock, right. I open the door. I get in. Now I find myself once again oh shit, god damn kid. I take the key out my pocket, stick it in ignition and turn them.

Speaker 1:

Now this, I sound like a new nigga. I sound like I just got here Like you don't know what you doing, because now I'm used to. You know what I'm saying. I'm going to drive my wife's car for a little bit now, so it's been her car, do that fancy shit? And I'm calling it fancy Like look, this shit is regular. Now you know what I'm saying. But I find myself getting frustrated Like, oh shit, I got to take the key out my pocket and put it in shit and turn it and fucking ah, it's R for it's R fucking fault, man. But hey, I think you got me beat man to turn the key thing and not knowing how to open the CD, that shit wild. Yeah, that's wild man, because I legit I probably looked at him the same way you looked at KJ man, like you know, you're a new mother, you don't know how to open the CD, just pop it over. Yeah, yeah, man, it was one thumb up, one thumb down. They have. They're growing up in a different time than we are and I love that.

Speaker 1:

I get to teach little small things like that after I get to realize like, hey, you, you didn't live in the 1900s. You know what, bro? You know what else we did here. You know what else we got to teach? What was that? Just something that I just thought of. We got to teach them how to light a grill. Oh for sure. Teach them how to stack them coals, because we, we, we propane that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't, I don't have the, but you can't. You can't go to propane if you don't know how to work. You got graduate status, yeah, so yeah, you got to stack them up.

Speaker 1:

Let let, let let that smoke a little bit with the flow on the house. Season your meat up or whatever you go. Hey, watch a little bit of gang. You don't like these coals up, let them burn. Rake them up, even them out. Now they burning. Oh, yeah, you cooking with grease. Now we hot now, yeah, you cooking with the.

Speaker 1:

Get you a little stick. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, if you ever, hey, move these coals over here, turn it. She gets one black on the inside, turn it so it's red. I mean, move it over here to these red ones, get that fire going. Get that fire going. Get that fire going. But you know what we got to do. Somebody else on it say you know how to move from the red sticks together real fast. Yeah, and KKJ and boys got us.

Speaker 1:

So they teaching them that they do that type of shit. That's hard. They teach them that. I mean, they teach them how to solder pipe, tie knots and solder pipe. Yeah, I was over there watching but they had a. They don't even solder, no more. It fucking Mr Plummer in the mix. No, but it is. They use that motherfucking machine, that jaws of life. Yeah, tramp, joint, squeeze the fuck out of them. But soldering pipe is a, it's a. It's a lost art, but it is they.

Speaker 1:

He showed like I mean, grind it down, you clean out the burrs, polish it up. He's like you feed it on there and then you take the little torch and melt it and you just break it, make, break it across and just let it drip, but that's it, man, and then it let it cool down. But then that's how you solder the pipe. That was it I'm like. But that ain't that hard. I ain't never even started a pipe. I ain't even. I ain't even, I ain't even, I ain't started. Even when it came to cutting the pipe, they got by a little device and pop that bitch on. You just twisted, is it? I don't think it's working.

Speaker 1:

Oh shit, that make it too easy for us. So we victims of this shit too yeah, because a lot of shit is is much easier For us. Now. It's a lot of shit we ain't got to. Which brings me into this. Man, I know we, I know we get on the kids a lot about stuff they didn't know, stuff that's new to them, that we kind of always get on them about like. You ain't got to do this, you ain't shit. When we stepped into being homeowners, it was shit that we just didn't know, man. So wake up, call Freedom of speakers, man. So we want to ask both of us as homeowners. We like to promote homeownership is. A lot of great benefits that come along with it. A lot of go by our house. Yeah, yeah, it's what he's saying.

Speaker 1:

You, you be you, if you do it right or understand to get you a good, you know a good, a good home inspector. You can check out Mikey Vating, cleveland home inspector, very much. So he got a lot about to say, solid inspection solutions. There's a lot of them. But Cleveland Ohio man, most definitely go check out Mikey Vating at home inspections. He's been able to give you good rates, good things. I am a client of his actually, so to be able to give you a good rate. If you say I sent you, you might not get no deal, but it'll help. Let it help out. Oh, I don't know him, yeah, anyway. Anyway, you got a crack in the foundation here Now. Look ain't no problem, come on with this level. But when he got the also he has the contract and company. So for different things that he's able to find and see that is going on with your property, is able to give you a really good competitive rate to be able to fix them.

Speaker 1:

So reach out to Mikey Vating at Cleveland home inspections. I'm going to call you from a driveway, bro, yeah, so, so for sure, man. So I'm having a home inspection for me and I got two home inspections. The first home inspection I got was with the realtor and I learned just in real estate now a little bit that the realtor and the home inspector normally work together. They kind of kind of push that fast.

Speaker 1:

So, freedom speakers, if you are looking to purchase a home, I wouldn't state is negative to go with the home inspector that the realtor suggests. But I would suggest from my own experience, find your own so that there is no bias there, potentially any bias there. So you can't even get to know. You can get as many things spectacular you want. You just got to pay for the pay for more. Yes, but if you want them to be there like tomorrow, go with your realtor's guy. But if you a little weary and you want to get somebody you can trust, go ahead and pay for an outside inspection, because you know sometimes a go, like that inspector is working with his realtor to hurry up and get them up. I can tell you. You know what I mean. However, if you a little weary and I actually trusted the guy who expected our home I walked through with him Because one thing I didn't know is I thought he was just jotting down like big shit, oh, the roof foundation, he's got them, windows and shit.

Speaker 1:

And he was like, yeah, see the way this door for the bathroom doesn't latch all the way. Yeah, that's a problem, got to fix this. Like, give a fuck about that, give a shit, I want leaks. Walking here at your own risk, right, right, yeah, man, so learning that just not just the ownership of the home, of the finances, you being able to get a home equity line of credit to be able to fix up the home and put down more than 20%, things of that nature, but, just as me and you talked about before like amen, you gon, you are going to have to upgrade your motherfucking tools. Yeah, all right, you know it's going to be the luxury that you have as a tenant, as renting, of being able to pass the responsibility or a book off to somebody else of, hey, my stuff broke. Yeah, what you gonna do about it. What's up? This need to be fixed. I need my car to clean. He's like I got somebody to man before we got the house. Man, I have something to do.

Speaker 1:

I had some tools. I had a tool bag. I had a tool bag that was gifted to me. I appreciated I was actually giving also some, some, some craftsmen tools that while in the apartment was fucking used to. I have these. I had no use for these motherfuckers. I don't even know Me and she have tools, right, yeah. But now, being a homeowner going on four years 2024, I have. I still have that tool bag, which is a lot more for now. I have a fat ass toolbox. I had to upgrade motherfucking like a double decker toolbox and then you can take that part out. It's more shit under there, then it's more shit and then it's little compartments on the top, while my screws and you know you always just got some extra drywall anchors and shit, yeah, extrinship you put together. You don't. You ain't use all the tools Power tools, extension cores, fucking brushless drills, compact drills, motherfucking levelers and shit Impact drivers, air compressors, air compress I had.

Speaker 1:

I remember you told me it was like man. Hey man, you sound like me Because I had what I had to do. What did I need air compressor for? For the goddamn nail guns. Yeah, I was like, bro you man. Hey man, work smart. Yeah, but it got there.

Speaker 1:

So I'm looking in my goofy ass, man, and not doing much research. I'm trying to cheap out my stupid ass. I went and got a goddamn air tank, like I'm about to blow a fucking blow. Yeah, even if you got to do that, you're done. So I'll go to the gas. I fill it up, I fill it up, I hook it up to my micro. I had the micro pin nailer. I hook it into my micro pin nailer. Ok, now my tank need to be at about what was it? My tool need to operate between 100 and 110. Psi, psi. Ok, I fill up my tank.

Speaker 1:

As soon as I let off, a couple of that bitch is down, just fucking. I'm like shit, shit, my shit, my shit ain't Busting like it did a couple of times. Fuck man, I got to go back and fill this bitch up. Hell, no, I wrapped that bitch back up, left the air out, wrapped that bitch, I taped it, made it look bad. Yeah, I'm returning this.

Speaker 1:

And when it got me. It went to the harbor freight Shout out to them when it got me a compressor. It wasn't too expensive. I think I got the. What I got the, the. The fire got in the joint, but it's a nice compressor, man, I'm able to break it out, did some research on how to take care of it, you know, and I had to get you know separately. You got to get. I got the kit that had pretty much everything you ever motherfucking need. Yeah, in there it was like $11 for the kit, now the compressor. But it got the kit. It had holes which you want to replace your holes depends on how much you're using it to. You want to pray? You, you can't develop a, a cracking your holes, letting your air out, you know. But um, especially if you don't keep your holes in line, got to keep your holes in line. Keep them holes in line, cause your holes can't be nailing. But um, but now man had to, had to develop, develop a bag, develop a bag of tools and a bag. As far as knowledge and what I could do, I got.

Speaker 1:

I graduated from YouTube university. Mm-hmm, you actually referred me to them. I ain't man, you do, you do, and I ended up finding the guy. I wish I knew his name off top of my head man. But everything I looked up Eve. I can have a video for her. So anytime I see him, yep, did my dog right here I'm looking at her. That's how you do it. All right, he know what he talking about. They got that when I, when I do the deck this spring, he got a video, for that's how I look. Make sure I got the right shit. Once you got the right tools, you halfway there, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And now, remember that was one of the things we talked about, man, in our journey of fatherhood and craftsmanship, like taking on the home. So, like I said, the tenant, the renter, they got the luxury of passing that book for that responsibility with us, we got to pull out the tool bag and try some things ourselves. Might have to fuck up, might, yeah, might have to fuck up, yeah. So you got to either try some things yourself or you might want to be calling them professional. You got a car.

Speaker 1:

I remember we had a leak coming from. It was coming from the shower. For a while. We had to take real quick shower. You got four and a half minutes. We'll be done. Don't be letting that walk run shit. Get the major spots, let's fuck up. Had to be real quick with it, man. So the shower upstairs to be leaking down into down there you can see it because it's an opening for the cabinet where all the access to the pipes and shit and it wasn't like pouring leaking, but it was, but that should have added up. It was like I got a damn water and shit. I go to try to fix the shit myself in which I could, but it was such an awkward I can't fix the shit. I cut this off and I get Me and my brother.

Speaker 1:

We ended up cutting the pipe wall because we knew where it was leaking from. And I'm cutting the pipe off when got some shark bite. You know if it was fixed the shit up, in which they don't suggest putting shark bite inside your wall because they're expected to fail at some point and you're not going to know it failed until you got some water seeping. The fuck is water coming from that damn 10 year old shark bite. You asked, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but we was going to use the shark bite. At least I could see it. So if I did something wrong, oh, that's a shark bite. You know what I'm saying. But, man, I guess we had to cut off that much pipe because otherwise we wouldn't be able to get the fucking bite on there. You know what I'm saying, bro.

Speaker 1:

I ended up calling Rode Ruder and the lady is such a nice place, she answered the phone. Thank you for calling Rode Ruder, I may help you. All I could say was I need some help. That's literally what I said. She kind of chuckled a little bit. What seems to be the problem, sir? She just piped me in the kitchen. I tried to fix it, but that's all I knew what to say. I wasn't prepared on. Yes, I was seeing if we can get a 10 inch an hour here. None of that shit. I may help you, I need help. Just had to be humble in that moment. I fucked up. Right now, man, help me, help me, please.

Speaker 1:

They gave me and Mika a free goddamn camera inspection because we were calling them. I had to call them out so much. They was like yeah, y'all has been like $100 with us the last two weeks. We're going to do this, y'all free. Yeah, you earned this, but just for them to do the shit with the camera, that's $400.

Speaker 1:

You know what I'm saying, but it ended up finding Damage in the. I think I told you about this shit Finding damage in the drain pipe underneath the house. It's completely damaged. So everything from a certain point is actually right underneath the family room. So when I did the gutters, I just don't send water down there. That's that shit, niggas. I just rerouted water, so now all the water, all the water that falls on the back of the house goes all the way across down the garage, down the fucking driveway, into the street. I don't send water down there. So you know, and that was happening in the water and I was into the bullshit. That's the shit, man.

Speaker 1:

I love it. I'll take that back. I like it a lot. I like it when I'm doing good, like you're waiting home on, or, yeah, like no, having to fix the shit. Oh, yeah, because it's nice, you know, like being here. Yeah, my dad fixed it. Can I help that? Yeah, man, come on, hand me the Yep, hand me the right, give me the big one. I need the big one. Yep, let me get that. Hand it to me, all right, and I used to watch you do shit. You know my daughter's in there looking. You know what I'm saying you know what they say. You're the. You're the example. Yeah, for sure, you're the example for your sons. You're the role model for your daughters. You're the example they're looking at what a man should be, and part of that, a piece of that, is Fix the shit. Yeah, you got to be a fixer and a problem solver. Yeah, we're bearing shit.

Speaker 1:

I remember these ladies be tripping man. They said it's something about a man having triple A. That's real feminine to me. Like, get the fuck out. Who said that? They just bet. I feel like a man eating crab legs and suspect all kind of goofy shit. They be said, but they be wild in a certain shit. But like, in a way, you know, if you like, what's going to happen.

Speaker 1:

Ok, you get a flat tire on the road, what you going to do? I'm calling insurance, got insurance that you know how dangerous it is for me to risk my life without the proper to particularly to fix a fucking flat tire on the truck. I got white pants on the outfit, the outfit bra. I ain't tripping on that. It's like new shit clothes. I changed his tire, but naked.

Speaker 1:

However, on the side of the road trucks and a man this triple A part. This is why I pay for this. That's an insurance man. How was you know what's fucked up? Women who stuck on the side of the fucking road and they got nobody to call but a family motherfucker. But they got four, five niggas, niggas in a phone. Delete all the niggas numbers. So it was one of them. Like amen, you, you calling who, you, who you know responsible, you, these other catches just fun to play with. Like no, they got to. They got to find you some hybrids, got no, some shit, yeah, man.

Speaker 1:

So as we talked about man as the, when we moved into our home and fixing on stuff, man, like that became a skill, not just with the twos, but like mentally, like how do I fix that? How do I problem solve? How do I get myself out of bullshit? You know what I'm saying. But getting to see that with, with, with family and friends, of, like your relationships, of, and things that we want to teach to our kids of.

Speaker 1:

I want to teach KJ how to problem solve, teach him how to work with tools, teach him how to work his hands, use his hands, get his motor skills together, but also want to teach him how to problem solve of like it's OK To say no to certain things. Man, problem solve. Oh, this has happened. Ok, how do you resolve it? How do you fix it? Or you didn't say something. You know to apologize. That's that's a good way to get problems off. For sure, you know what I'm saying. You know how to shut the fuck up. That's a good way to not start problems. That's awesome. You know what I'm saying. I'm like. At the same time, do you know how to speak up? Because you can, you can, you can problem come start, because you never said nothing but just kind of teaching him just the art of it, more than just.

Speaker 1:

I got my tools from Harbor Freight, which for the DIYer at home, I swear mom, go get you, get the shit you need. But if, if crafting is your livelihood, you might want to get you some top upper grade equipment just because I'm not a craftsman in that. But I get to hear just when I carry in my two bag, you got to hurt me. They had them a walkie shit. Yeah, I'm walking like shit, right, I'm like my shit ain't falling, my project ain't falling apart Straight up. You know what I'm saying. Fuck you, but it's one of them like hey man, so I get it a problem. So when I get it of, just, just don't, don't.

Speaker 1:

It's too beautiful to be one thing man, to teach him multiple things, man, and even teaching him not. What's crazy is teaching him how to defend himself a little bit from roasting. So, freedom speakers, if you did not know, man, I have locks, my wife has locked and my son wants to step into the lock room and my baby boy has, uh, free, his free form in locks. So KJ wants to step into locks and he has, like the they call him worms, as in his kid, his phase, like when they knew they call them worms and he was like dad, how long is it going to take for my hair to lock up? This son will teach you patience. Okay, you can't. You're going to be handsome tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

I can't add this conversation because what I do? I've seen pictures of myself recently. I be sawed as fuck. I cut my hair like that and whatever, I don't care. And you threw him away, man. You could have, like, yeah, sold him back in. That's the beautiful thing about hair. It's like a plant for real. You can just put it back in your shit and it just fruits and berries and nutrients and shit. But that's a while. That being said, man, I spoke to him, just, you know, just little shit man, little problem solving things, how to deal with family, how to deal with siblings, how to it's okay to say no, it's okay to put yourself first, and just little gems I give them. I mean, so, uh, bringing it full circle.

Speaker 1:

Another part of my weekend was when I had to really recalibrate, like Saturday, friday, kind of like almost a whole week, because the previous weekend, man, I was, uh, you know, becoming to my family, running out, helping them, just because I can, but I also, at the same time, me putting other people first gives them a subconscious that I'm okay with being last and I'm not. I'm rightfully and modestly to start, but I believe in shared responsibility, I believe in shared spotlight, I believe in it ain't just me, that's too much pressure, it's too much pressure man. So, me kind of being there for them, I needed that recharge of helping them out and, um, I got to discount myself from helping my mother move. I paid for some movers to uh to come through and help her move and, due to all of the items that my mother have, uh, they gave me a hoarding discount. Yeah, yeah, it was, it wasn't a, it was. I thought that shit would be more. No, it was kind of like after so many hours, bruh, I was like, nah, we got you, we got you, we got you, we got you. So the young cat who was leading the charge on a helping move he young dude, early twenties man you could tell he's social media, social media person, grew up in the social media was already popping when he got here, so I could see him recording the apartment of all the stuff that he had to. You know, seeing that's the way technology work, you got to send that to like his management Like oh, look at this. So that exact statement is like hey, I know he sent that to his manager because that's just a part of the job description, but that looked like a fucking social media post, like another fucked up day at work. Manifest lot, nigga, manifest lot. This ain't no one bedroom. Yeah, it's bloody, this stuff. Don't have bedrooms in this one. Don't be a whiskey 90. I've been tapping into tequila too, the respicado and the nail stronger. It's like a blend between it to me, man, and I like it, though, but I'm most definitely going to tap into the arts of tasting.

Speaker 1:

I got you something, man? A gift for me? I ain't got it today. It's a Christmas gift, and do I got to wrap it, man? All you're going to do is unwrap it. I feel like it's the waste of time. Do you like your pussy fresh, unwrapped or just bad? You like to pull it out? You know what I'm saying. Take a little bit off. I like mine. Just wait, niggy, you don't know rap. No gift for me. I don't like my shit's rap. I like my pussy's out. I'm like, yeah, getting some circulation. Sometimes it's nice to have a little bit of unwrapped gift. You ain't got a sharing name, niggy, just give me the gift. But you're going to like it, man, you're going to like it.

Speaker 1:

I saw it. I actually want one. They had two. I'm going to get two. I'm like, yeah, but I'm going to keep that. Go get another one. It's another one. I'm like get him that gift. I'm going to get it to him. But that's how it was with the moon man. Oh yeah, space buddy. Yeah, but that was easy to get. That was ordering online. This was like it only had 200 videos up there. You should have got both, I know. Thank you, sister, you should have got both. You should have got both. Niggy, go back and give it. Okay, I'm going to put it like this Technically when I put it in the cart for my new niggas on earth, I mean a real cart that you push in the store, not digital, not the Amazon cart.

Speaker 1:

But when I put it in the cart, it was for me by the time I checked out, because you know I'm the type of nigga I start putting shit back. I fuck these up Next time my feet. Yeah, I'm all right. By the time I'm like I'm going to get this chair. He a fuck with this. Then I start thinking like I should go get that other one though, because I really like this one. But but I think you're going to fuck with it though. You go fuck with it.

Speaker 1:

Sure, I'm really sharing gifts and sharing things, man. I got you again. What Yep, yep? Remember, we sprinkle gifts throughout each other throughout the year. Listen, just a little. Hey, man, I think you would like that. Yeah, because I know at home we both man, we like to. We handle fixing shit and making shit hang together. Our wives are really good at like the decor and drapes, and yeah, even that I remember. Just like I'm not gonna do that. Yes, I know you'd be listening to.

Speaker 1:

I ain't over this story right here. I remember she kept doubting me one time when I was fixing shit and how she like, did you really think you know what you're doing? Man, I hate this shit. I said I did not know, but I watched YouTube University enough and I am trying. I like that shit. I am trying Liga, bring her ass around.

Speaker 1:

It's supposed to look like that. Do I look finished? Do I make every action that when you doing your fucking hair, when you doing your makeup makeup, when you trying on clothes, as opposed to look like that, you finished. I suppose we loose like that. I'm just saying, all right, the magazine only like that. They'll come with body in that. You in here trying to HGT, critique my shit like that.

Speaker 1:

But so, that being said, man is you know it's. It's like, hey, man, come with problems, offer. I'm trying to figure this out, let me try. I did the numbers. It's cheaper to buy the tools and try myself and be calling somebody out here and then I gotta pay them to come, they gotta pay them to fix it and that's two different fees. So no, but I got grass, got to know, so I know, when it comes to that man, we we share. We show each other with gifts and we give each other our flowers as many times as we possibly can.

Speaker 1:

Just true, just because, man, we know it's a, it's a, it's a healthy, it's a space needed for that. There's a space needed for us to be able to have the male camaraderie, laugh, joke, talk, be able to have a safe space where we get to verbally let loose and speak freely and kind of let down our hair of the positions that we hold, man, and the key points of them are. The key ones are the family man. That's every, every position up under there, son, that you cook, but everything to be family man. The business man of like, hey, man, how I make the money, that's my job, that's my career. You understand everything I play in there of a.

Speaker 1:

Today I'm gonna be the boss, but later on tonight I'm gonna sweep the floor. I'm gonna sweep the floor to be the janitor to me. I gotta go help somebody at the site. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and be a caregiver on him. Gonna be tapping my ST and that a little bit. I gotta draw. That will be a trans boy gotta drive and do that I gotta figure out. I gotta fix some shit. Yeah, I'm gonna be mechanic for 20 minutes like be a craftsman. Come through, man, so appreciate hanging up those TVs. The other day at the site I came in like everybody this is a good, everybody moving here, everybody getting shithanded man. But thank you for that. I just hope them bitches still up there in 90 days.

Speaker 1:

What you do. No, they're good. I know how to monitor people. I just never done it before. No, what anchors you do? The ones that came with the what's not? You got a draw. And then the one, yeah, well, the one. I only did one. Technically that was in the stud, but I was sure the first time. But I'm, by the essence, out there right here. Somebody. Look like I already put some shit here. I'm gonna go a little higher. And when she started, you feel the stud, you feel the stud. But for them little tiny ass and a little shit, you probably good, just dry water, yeah. But I say, but I'm a little bit as well, I go get the 75 pound anchor, draw all anchors, the chain, heavy as teeth, heavy as pictures and shit, yeah, but uh, but yeah, man. So freedom speakers. I like to give my bro host a portion of his flowers today, when I would like for people to really kind of hear some origin of me and his man.

Speaker 1:

Before we became businessmen together, we were just just brothers hanging out, kicking it to in for show man, hanging out, kicking in, enjoying this newfound freedom of being, you know, 1819, 20, getting your own spot, getting your own car, just a little level of responsibility, man. So as we both started to grow as men and step into more to these rooms, these roles, I'll say as family men, businessmen and entrepreneurship, we had to really learn that we needed to lean on each other. And it's a cold world out here for men if nobody ever really told y'all it's a, they can be very cold. And for most men, for black men especially cuz I'm black and that's only way I could really speak from is the world doesn't care about us and doesn't love us, and that's really probably not set enough. And if that man, that black man, but that man doesn't have a good relationship with his mother or a good relationship with his woman, the world really does become a very, very lonely place for him. Okay, so you know, with that being said, when we stepped into these places, of having to deal with the challenges of the world. The challenges were growing within your relationship. The challenges are growing within just your role in your family. We kind of got to see where your alliance starts to lie and where you really needed to kind of focus some energy at.

Speaker 1:

So me and Lois, we really actually started to lean on each other and find our own similarities with each other. We both big and little brothers, both grew up with a sense of urgency to be good men, kind of. Both grew up without that father figure of our own DNA. In house we grow my babies. My grandma love me. We talk all the time, all the time, but my grandma she bragged by me to people. That's why they don't like me couldn't tell her shit about me. My grandma baby we both have. Our sons are the same age. Our first boys are the same age. They both are juniors. But a lot of similarities that I can go down the line with. And we even crossed hairs with businesses where it even brings us to where we are now.

Speaker 1:

So a conversation that both of us had to have with each other and the gist of it is two kings had to put ego and pride aside and be it not for ourselves, but for our families, for everything that we're looking to push and move. We needed to be able to speak freely with one another of like this is really what I need, this is what has to be had and said. This is, you know, just a in the simplest way I can put it, man, we had to take ego and pride and put that shit to the side. We had to make sure that what we were asking for was fair and we had to make sure we was putting just as much work in on the back end of what we was asking for and with us being able to have that conversation. Man, it was a tight bond that was created of leadership amongst us.

Speaker 1:

You know a hierarchy amongst us of men of like, hey, man, I'm not in here trying to stump over you, I'm not in here trying to disrespect you, I'm not even here, even trying to place a hierarchy Is. I'm in here and learning as well as you. This is my first time in this position of being a leader and everybody is really following my dynamic, following my rule and is. Am I telling them correctly? And is everybody carrying out? Like remember, we're gambling. We gain this as business. So we gamble a little like, well, how's money? And we can't afford to lose. If I got everybody throwing all they chips in on certain shit and we don't pan out, can I sit here in stomach like my fault? Or do I got enough in reserve to say, man, I can replenish this thing? But those type of leadership things, man, and we as we define work as war, some days I would rather go to war with you, bro, and then almost anybody else that I can think of, most definitely doing this shit that we're doing every day, I'd rather have you, I'd rather die on my shield with you, bro, you're a weird man. One thing I love you, dude, love you too, bro, I love you too. For sure, man, I gotta say, I gotta say, ooh, that one, is that the one? Yeah, that was the one right there.

Speaker 1:

But we a very important thing you did mention that our boys were the same age but we literally became fathers together. You know, experiencing that for the first time and everything and everything that that brings man. You know, your boys start calling, he start calling too. You know what I'm saying. He growing TV, he growing bitch shit. Out of me. You get some ass shit, not shit, almost Almost Got to end that, let's go. But now, man, we was like right there, right there with each other.

Speaker 1:

Man From the jump man you know you like took me under your wing and you know I get the backstory from you. Now you literally making a decision to like take me under your wing and be like no man, he get cold, cold like Nicky, I like him, I like him, I'm like I like him. He cool, what'd you used to say, mommy's big, I'm gonna get this little nigga out of my house. Yeah. So Mom Dukes used to say I like that thing, I don't want to fight him. Yeah, mom Dukes used to say that the big brother, father role to protect her all. And Mom Dukes would be like I want you to keep these boys out of my house and away from your sisters. And I'm like I got you, mama and I've always been on the job.

Speaker 1:

But you came along and it was like I helped even keep some other niggas off your sink. He was like, hey, don't fuck with him, I like him. He had the mind protection too. Man, don't fuck with him. So Mom Dukes would be like when all the shit, the fan, it was like how about. I told you to keep these niggas away. I'm like I did. I like him, though. I like him Told you I didn't want to, I filtered out, I went above and beyond. Look at that. I'm like look what happened, man. He's a great asset to everybody. Look, because shit, don't fuck up, it's straight, take a break. But no man from the get, you know what I'm saying, you know you was definitely that that another big brother. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

And I remember when, two days before a low was found to be conceived, two motherfucking days, I quit my goddamn job. I was a little dumb working that big download. I was trying to just, you know, had a lot of fun, had a ball, had a good time, but just young, you know what I'm saying. They is racking it up. You know what I'm saying. They had too much going on. Man Could go to the mall, do my thing, go to FYE, get some CDs that my son don't know how to open now, you know. But that was it, man, you know. But I quit my motherfucking job, man, two days later, can I get my job back, you know? So I remember vividly.

Speaker 1:

I remember vividly when you got the news standing in your mom's living room, like right by the step. You know, I remember your mom. I mean like, yeah, you got something to tell your brother and she was eating shit. You want to tell your brother something? What? Why didn't I pay you? And your face was, oh, snap, real, because I believe, if I am mistaken, we got the new life together. It was kind of like, yeah, that's great. Yeah, I think I had broke the news too, because they only like two months, two months, yeah, legit, two months.

Speaker 1:

So when it happened, it was kind of like you want to tell your brother something. She said you're like for real, congratulations. Now, you knew I just quit Like fuck me. You know what I'm saying. My shit ain't fucking nothing, I'm the fuck. That's saying six miles an hour, get that. You know. Hey, man, come fuck with me. Man, I'm saying 10 liter about this body.

Speaker 1:

You know, get into it. You got to link for the application, do the thing. And then legit like put me in, because you will correct me if I say got me the job. I'm saying no, honey, I just I cracked it though. You knocked that motherfucker down. You kicked that bitch off the head straight up. That's what you had to do Straight up man. So got into this thing. You know, and you know we've been rolling ever since, man.

Speaker 1:

You know we had our time when we talked about earlier today where we did have. We had a time where I had to go. You know what I mean. I was hurt about 13 months. We talked, talked, talked to bro. I tell them all the time I'm like you left for 13 months, nigga, that's two Januarys. I'm like I'm a numbers person, that's two Januarys.

Speaker 1:

But I also say, in that timeframe of I didn't know how to be the type of leader that I am now. I didn't know how. I didn't even know how to recognize where I was, or that, even as the entrepreneur, now that I am in the business man, now, when any staff has certain issues, I always look on the business side of things of how can I come to their aid. Excuse me, as I stated to you openly, man, privately, I stayed to you openly like should have never had to feel in that position where you needed to lead, where you needed to go elsewhere and brand, to show skills. I should have been able to understand and know, like what's a fair deal for work, for compensation, for all of these things, though I wasn't fully aware Me, learning that in your absence made me just sharpen up and say like amen, I never wanted that, never wanted anybody to feel like the company doesn't have the benefits to maintain their lifestyle outside of here, knowing the company does take care 65 to 75% of your lifestyle, love where you live, because with your job, how much money you make, you know what I'm saying your health benefits, your things of that nature.

Speaker 1:

So I sit in that seat to say amen, I never want you or any of the team members to feel like we got it and y'all don't. Y'all ain't got access to it. So when you had to leave, I was sad, bro, I was hurt, but it ain't no bitch ass, can't be. So, me knowing, I remember telling you. I remember telling you I'm a man of my word. I remember telling you like, hey, I'm gonna call you one day and I'm gonna ask you when are you ready to put your two weeks in? Because I knew you was valuable, bro, but I didn't know how to handle with wild beasts as powerful as me. I didn't know how. I didn't know how to be like amen, you like amen. Whatever you want me to do, bro, I got you. I did not know I had that type of loyalty with you.

Speaker 1:

Now that it was a negative, it was work, but it was like, hey, you really care about that shit like me, like I thought it was just only me, even with my own wife at the time of like shit like this, yours, I'm like, no, the fuck is not, it's ours. You like it's like hey, it's yours, I'm like you really mind you can tell him you have. But it's like I meant to share responsibility. But me telling you like, bro, I'm a, I owe you that, I owe you that. I'm like man, I'm gonna call you one day and I'm gonna ask you when are you ready to put your two weeks in? And in that timeframe of us not working together, we still were family men. We still were communicating as brothers, as husbands, we still doing house stuff.

Speaker 1:

Do remember a time I do. I remember I spoke to your sister because I think I might be making this up in my head, I don't really know, but I remember calling you one day like damn, I ain't talking to this thing in, like two months you know what I'm saying Like two legit months. So I hit you one day. I was on my way up York road I think I was heading to get a E-check or something like that and I'm like I'm gonna hit this nigga now get an E-check. It's like free time, right, right, right. So I hit you and like what's up, man? Like nothing, man, this shit, let me see what's going on with you. Oh, now I'm cool man. Hey, let me, I'm gonna hit you back. And the guy ain't hit me back.

Speaker 1:

So I ended up talking to your sister, maybe like a day or two later, and I'm like, yeah, man, what's up? Okay, man, I'm cool. And shit, I feel like nigga, nigga ain't fucking with me, no more. Hey, what's happening? And she legit told me like nah, but it ain't that like they just been real busy, like busy as fuck. I ain't even talking to this nigga. It like busy as a mother, fuck. You know what I'm saying. So don't take it for granted. All right, go, nigga, just check it. Nigga usually hit me back. He says to hit me back, but I'm glad I was able to speak to her and I like I got it. You know what I'm saying and you know we ended up talking.

Speaker 1:

I ended up coming out to the house it was 13 months total, ended up coming out to the house after like like 10 months nine, 10 months, you know what I'm saying and us being able to sit. I guess you had some time when they would sit, pour a little, drink, a little something. You know Really, yeah, everything and talking shit. This back before. I got so many names for Kyro. I call anything that got rolling in the macaroni, but this before he was born. So your man cave was in his room. No, if that's still his room, this is his room. Yeah, he got a lot of rooms in the switcher shit, but I go get his ass in there. Maybe I'm making some parents shit, but we ended up actually having time to sit and chat and catching me up on everything that's been going on.

Speaker 1:

And at this point, these last nine, 10 months, and kinda looking at me like you gonna go back, right man, if everything. Right man, what's up? Right man, one day, like you said man, one day, just like you said initially, when I left, fast forward nine, 10 months later, then fast forward another three, four months, kinda like, hey, what's up? When can you, when you can, come back? And I ain't gonna get into it now, but something nearly traumatizing happened. It matter of fact, it was traumatizing. Something happened that fucking morning.

Speaker 1:

Now I'm on my way out to Youngstown and you called me, to sum it, just starting to come up, and I'm standing on the dock out in Youngstown and you called me like, hey, man, when can you, when can you put your two weeks notice in? Man, you know, I wanna do that. I'm a professional, for sure, for sure, for sure, for sure. When can you put your two weeks notice in? And I took a breath, I looked up at the sky. Today, I remember that. And you, like, like today, like I'll be done around three o'clock, I'm done, yeah, so I remember the back end of that man. I got word from Wifey, like that it was okay. I was already on the fence about it, but in your absence, man, we were building, we both were sharpening our skills, but we were building.

Speaker 1:

The flip was to the day center. I needed to bring. I needed to have the day center, which was a whole new business and it was. I went through so many emotions on building and I lost, like one of my stronger pieces. I lost another person who, just on some foul shit of myself you know what I'm saying, but it was how do I rebuild from here, from my own actions? Like I had to stand there like a huge self reflection that I still keep with me to this day.

Speaker 1:

But in my line of work I had to build these protections. I had to build like, okay, I got enough to be able to secure this and handle that and do this and do that. It's like I need this person back who is more willing, who is more prepared man, who is more worthy. So me having to know, like man in this place, that I'm at now and I'm practicing. I'm practicing like, okay, how do I say this shit the right way and sail this off right, but on the back end, that every time that check clear, every time that something happens, the company can come to this person's aid. That is one of them like, hey, on the most respectful way to put it, shut your mouth, nigga. We helped, we helped, we did what we could. We can't, I can't, go be in your house. We've been cleaning your floor and scratching your back and I can't do that. That's another service that you gotta charge and get permission for. I can ask my wife. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

But it was like, how do I come to this man's aid, how do I not just as a like? It's a handout, like one man to another. It's entity to entity, power, cord, johnson, cord. This is what we are collaborating to do and it needs to end in this. Reciprocation should end in some profit. Yeah, for real, it should end in profit. So us being able to put this pride and ego aside and me being able to say, hey, I can meet your demands, bro, I can meet what's being asked for you, bro. You valuable enough to me on every platform to be able to say, hey, man, if this is what you need to be able to take care of your family and to take care of yourself, let's get it moving, man. The end of the deal is this is the marks where they gotta be made.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't nothing outside of your scope that you wasn't doing prior, but it's a leadership role of now. You gotta. You got all these departments of all of these businesses up under your belt, all these different people and leaders and attitudes. They not gonna just listen to your directorial because of what your bad sayings like no, am I out working these motherfuckers? Am I showing them like, hey, don't make me do your job, and then have to question why you here? What I need you for, one of the most disrespectful things you can tell to that entrepreneur, to that business person, is like ain't this, yo shit. You know what? You know what? It's short fucky. Let me walk you to the door. Punch out for me please. Oh no, I was just saying no, I'm just doing Like ain't them. But it's one of them insulting type of things of like they saying my job.

Speaker 1:

Knowing you got everybody in here working, everybody moving man, everybody handling pieces. But, that being said, I needed to learn as a leader, how to handle things, how to apologize, how to say amen. I wasn't as great as a leader as I should have been. I wasn't great as a boss as I should have been. My bad that you had to go elsewhere to get what you needed when it was always right here. I needed to know how to handle that shit better. So, being able to be in that position now, a lot of that, a lot of it. You broke. You cracked the mold with it of how I look at everybody, how with you. Know how, in negative, we used to name policies after people went shit with happy. We got this policy, got that policy, so on and so forth. I then took that and moved it into the positive of like amen, what happened with you? We got that policy of like.

Speaker 1:

We need to get the health insurance. We need to get progressing rates going forward. We need for Jaylene, we needed to get short term disability, long term disability. We need to get life insurance and to get accident. We need to get these things as a business. That it's just how we do come to the aid of our people. We need to get preventative healthcare insurance, post healthcare insurance, just mental health days, being able to come and speak and say, hey, ms Brenda, use us all the time. Shout out to Ms Brenda that's my other spirit moment she utilizes venting to us and having that time to come and just detox whatever she needs to go, be great over there with those guys and step into her role of hey, man, she holds you accountable and I respect that shit out of that more than anything.

Speaker 1:

But that being said, man, our joint new union ship on business and making sure that we are kings in battle. We're like that's the monster, like a warrior king. I ain't sitting behind the desk, I'm out here fighting Titans For real. I'm fighting Titans to make sure that, hey, the IRS is a formidable motherfucker, even if you on the right side, it's just like I got to still pay you, mother, the rose ain't done. They're like, hey, them city taxes? Talk to your city niggas, talk to your local niggas. What is it, hey, those your litigations of the industries that you in being able to make sure that you keep in contracts and stuff, secure you not defaulting on those and even finances that you're dealing with. You ain't defaulting on credit or lines of you know, installment payments and things like that.

Speaker 1:

So it's a lot that goes into taking care of a community man, and I can't do it by myself, man. I'm very, very, very, very, very fucking thankful that you rocking with me doing this shit, bruh. I would not, me or my wife would not be where we are if we didn't have your diligence, man, that I ain't no whole ass nigga mentality handling that pressure with us like we, we out here together, bruh, but it's some legitimate widgets on some man shit. Hey, it ain't too many motherfuckers that I feel they're like, hey, I can walk into this shit and this motherfucker gonna have my back, sure, even if I switch up. Nigga got my rhythm enough to be like I'm a follow the play. You know what I'm saying. Compared to what we doing, god, it's not, not even got us. But like, hey, nigga, you, it takes time to build that relationship. That ain't just a we shaking hands and we just it's just going along. It's like no, I gotta know this, nigga. We gotta sit down and eat dinner, kids gotta interact, our girls gotta meet up at Target and shit Cause, that's what the fuck they do. That's definitely the word. They need a good Target man.
